"Everything with Lucky Sully went great. Brian was able to come out the same day I called to analyze the issue and determine I had multiple cracks in my chimney and gave me two options on how to fix it: a less expensive non-permanent way that would last a few years or a more expensive permanent fix. I opted for the permanent fix and Brian was able to come out the next day to do the job. He repaved multiple layers of brick and added a chimney cover so rain would not be able to come through the top of the chimney. Brian was great and did a wonderful job. I am very happy with their punctuality and quality of work and would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends/family."

"Gary was  prompt and professional for each appointment.  On the initial appointment, he patiently answered all my questions, provided a good selection of products to choose from, and gave a quote for services.  The day of service, Gary prepped & painted the inside of the fireplace as well as all hardware on the doors.  For the finishing touches, he installed a new burner and fire glass.  When he left the area was clean and ready to be enjoyed.  My boring, outdated gas fireplace is now updated, and looks great!!!  I'd hire Gary again. <br />"

"Juan Torres (owner of this family business) returned my initial call within a day and came out the next day to provide an estimate. (I had used Juan a few years ago for repair/replacement of a section of block wall. He and his crew did a great, clean job then, at a very competitive price. Juan even showed up with insurance/liability certs upon our initial meeting for that estimate.) So I knew that I'd be calling him re this built in BBQ repair/remodel prior to install of a new drop in BBQ. Juan provided what I considered a fair price in an emailed proposal sent to me that same evening, so I decided to go with him and forgo the usual 3 estimates I would have obtained from various contractors. I booked the job with him for the next week. They showed up on the agreed day, on time. He and his brothers did a good job involving tricky/difficult drilling and install of vents in the existing block, floating a concrete "deck" for under the new grill, as well as installing an access door for added venting and gas cutoff access. The job took about 1/2 day. All went very smoothly, looks great, and was cleaned up well at the end. I was confident enough in Juan and his co., to look no further when hiring a mason for this project. I'm completely satisfied and can recommend Specialty Masonry without hesitation."

"OUTSTANDING! With just 2 days notice, Joe sent one of his outstanding staff members (Mikey) to fix the hole I made in our ceiling. The repair job was done so well that it's almost impossible to see where I almost fell through from the attic. During Mikey's ceiling repair visit I asked Joe to give us a quote for the outside valve replacement and plumbing box installation project. The price was so good (almost half the amount quoted by another company) we asked them to handle this as well. This project was not only handled quickly, Mikey upgraded the setup for better access. He even colored the new concrete to match our existing patio area where the valve box needed to be installed."

Nir and his crew were always on time, did everything as they promised and as I requested. There were no issues and project was finished on time. "We hired Fireplace Freddie to inspect and fix our 100-year-old fireplace & chimney, making it safe to burn real wood again. Nick and Scott came out quickly, and used cameras to inspect. During the inspection Nick visually showed me what the issues were. He also verbally suggested the fix. After the inspection, we received pics and a price quote to fix the issues by installing a stainless steel sleeve in the chimney. We sent the pics and info to 3 other businesses to compare prices. After speaking with Nick numerous times, including 2 conversations with my old school contractor buddy who asked Nick just about every ridiculous question he could possibly think of, Nick remained cool and answered all of his questions. Nick also agreed to do the job with a permit from LADBS which they included in the price, so we decided Fireplace Freddie was the right company to do the job. Patrick was our installer. He had a co-worker, but I didn't catch his name. They showed up on time, covered the floor and furniture and did their job. It took a few days as they said it would, but they were on time, clean and friendly. Each day they came, they covered everything. Each night, they cleaned up and uncovered everything before they left. Patrick also dealt with our LADBS inspector who admittedly was not well versed in chimney repair. Patrick was very friendly, gave the inspector the information he needed including printed specs from the manufacturer, and we passed inspection w/o issue. Scott came back 1 week later to test the fireplace. He lit a fire to make sure it was all good, and it is. To sum it all up, everyone was friendly and professional. The job went super smooth, and we are able to use our wood burning fireplace again, safely.  I would highly recommend Fireplace Freddie. A+"
