"Mr. Kugel did a fabulous job repairing my fireplace.  I recently purchased my 1952 home and the previous owner had cut a hole in the fire box, installed a stove pipe and sealed the chimney.   He was very straight forward with his estimate and explained everything, answering all my questions.  We set an appointment for the repair & he was prompt, efficient, and very respectful of my home.  He showed me everything he had done, how everything worked and cleaned up after himself when finished.   When he arrived to give me the estimate, my neighbor stopped by & asked him to give her an estimate as well.   He did and cleaned her chimney and repaired her fireplace the same day he fixed mine.  We are both very pleased with Mr. Kugel and would highly recommend him & his company."

"I bought a $175 Big Deal for two handymen/3 hours. It was scheduled for a Wednesday afternoon, and I was expecting ready to assemble furniture from UPS that day. I asked to be scheduled at 2-3 pm.
Troy called and had a customer reschedule, so he wanted to come early. I foolishly agreed. They arrived at 11:30 am, and my furniture had not arrived. The 2nd handyman was his wife. She assembled the shelving I had, which took less than an hour, and after that essentially worked as his assistant, not as an independent 2nd set of hands.
My concrete walls were challenging, and Troy was great about changing anchors/techniques as he installed over two dozen anchors in the walls. The lighting fixture was also complicated as the junction box as very deep within the ceiling. He had to use a hacksaw to adjust the length of the center pin. he had a very good attitude.
What really disappointed me, however, was that they did not clean up after themselves, and when they left I had dozens of piles of concrete dust along floor boards and on furniture, books, and pillows.
When my furniture arrived 2 1/2 hours into their time, his wife just watched me unpack the boxes- she made no attempt to help me or put in another 30 minutes of work. She did not ask me for a vacuum cleaner, or wipes to clean up.
I feel like I had about 4 hours of work instead of six (two people for 3 hours), and the change in schedule was to their advantage, not mine. I should not have agreed to it, and that was my fault. When my things arrived, however, his wife should have started working again.
It should be stated more clearly that it is one handy man and an assistant. I do not think I got my money's worth. Nice people, but I needed six hours of work done. And clean up should be a given. I should not have to spend more than an hour cleaning up after I paid people to work in my home. Disappointing.
