"I cannot say enough good things about the folks at Masters Chimney. Mark and Jeff were terrific to work with and worked with us to get our fireplace inspections and repairs done in a timely fashion to accommodate the sale of our house. Their team was hard-working and efficient and made sure the repairs went smoothly. I highly recommend the folks at Masters Chimney - they are great!"

"I claimed a deal online for a hvac tune up for $75 (or $85, I can't really remember). When they came out, the guy admitted it was his first week on the job. The hvac unit was old so he said it wasn't really worth him doing to tune up but he could give me a quote. Even though he couldn't do anything to help the unit, I still got charged. As a result of that, I decided to go with another company for the installation."

"He was nice enough, but the work was kind of sloppy. There were other people in the neighborhood that actually bought the deal and they told me about it. We all live in these townhouses where the masonry work on our front porch is starting to look kind of rough. He came out and I think he had too many people to do in too short a time. So he was rushing and it was getting dark. I don't think he wanted to come back another day. So circumstances kind of alter all cases, but I think that most of the people that he did were happy. And I'm not unhappy, I just think it was a little bit sloppy and I don't think it needed to be that way. But the longer it's done, the less I care if it is sloppy or not. I think the pricing was fair. It sounded better than it was. We didn't get four hours of masonry work, but for $99 I certainly couldn't complain. He was responsive, because he was in the area. He was trying to do three or four people in the same little vicinity. I probably would use him again, but I would have a talk with him. We would be a little bit more knowledgeable this time."

"At first i was very pleased with the work and the people that came out. I have now noticed that there is a stone that has come loose and I wanted to get that replaced. I was told that there should be no vegetation between the stones and there is. I have tried calling them for serveral months so I am now very dissappointed."

"We had checked out the people our friends recommended, researched the net like crazy and after looking at Angie's list, Jeffress Stone popped up with great recommendations, so we called. Dave, the owner answered and he came over, gave us an idea of the price and showed samples. Immediately after chatting with him, we thought he was the right one. And after further estimates confirmed, he was the right person for the job. He was personable, reasonable and professional and gave great advice deciding between granite and other finishes. He really knows his stuff - been in the business a good while. Can't say enough good about the results, his company which included his son and some other well chosen individuals. Dave does a lot of the hands-on work and its obvious he and his employees really have pride in their workmanship. They finished a week earlier than expected. Highly recommend them!!"

"Dave was amazing to work with. He walked us through the whole process and explained the best places for a wood stove in terms of heat, and then worked with us to help us find a new wood stove. We got 3 other quotes, and they all tried to get us to buy 3k-6k stoves from them. Dave found us a great $800 stove and then picked it up for us. AND his quote for the installation work was almost half the amount of the other agencies. I cannot recommend him enough. Especially if you are looking for someone that wont try to upsell you and work within your budget."

"There was a close tie between J and G and the mason we ultimately chose. We were very impressed with J & G who were a very experienced father and son. we chose another mason because J& G were located very far from us in Southern MD, about 100 miles each way.
