Pete responded promptly to my initial inquiry, came out ASAP to provide an estimate on the cracked step (and on a bigger "dream" project I've been thinking about), explained what had likely caused the damage, and gave me several options for either replacing the step just as it had been, or upgrading a little bit depending on my price range. His recommendations were good, and we didn't feel pressured at all, but the full reshaping of the step into a rounded one was a bit outside our budget so we took him up on enlarging it by several inches instead. Overall, Pete was friendly and professional, and had that air of experienced competence that you look for in someone doing work on your house. I didn't even bother getting a second estimate. I did, however, call a good friend who has worked in the brick industry for years, and he assured me that the price Pete quoted was right in line with what he would expect for my project if you want it done right. When I gave Pete the green light, he scheduled the work promptly, showed up in the morning on time a few days later, and knocked the whole project out by that same afternoon. Put simply, the step looks great. It was done promptly, in line with our budget and at the price Pete originally quoted, and our whole experience with him was easy and hassle-free. The new brick color is matched perfectly with the old brick (absent a decade of wear and tear obviously), as is the cement, and it is clearly quality construction. In sum, I would highly recommend PK Masonry to anyone, and I will definitely use him again if I can ever convince my wife to let me pull the trigger on that dream project I've been thinking about..."

"<p>We were awakened at 3 AM with water dripping on the bed.  We found the problem in the attic dripping from a skylight. The next morning I called RPI and within 2 hours a repairman (JJ) came to the house, He plugged some nail holes on the roof with silicone to stop the dripping. He took pictures of the skylight on the roof and said the entire skylight needed to be properly sealed. The residential supervisor would call me to give an estimate of the total cost.</p> <p> Eric (Residential Supervisor) called me two days later with the estimate, but we were out of town for a week. When I called him back we agreed to do the work and he would get it on the schedule within a week or ten days. He called me the next day and said they had a cancellation of a different project that day and could they come by and fix it that afternoon. They showed up at 1 PM right on time, and finished the project that afternoon. I was quite pleased with how quickly and efficiently the problem was fixed. Both Eric and JJ were very knowledgeable and polite. They also got the project fixed quickly--much faster than I expected! "We had some problems with our foundation due to the house settling and they had to put in concrete pilings and make sure the house was stable and the work was guaranteed for 50 or 75 years. It was major structural home repair, stabilization work. They were here for several days. They were clean, professional, hard working. They did a good job. IT was expensive, but that kind of job is expensive.I would say it was a fair price. I would recommend them. I think they did a great job, I feel secure. They did everything they said they would do."

"The supervisor of the company came out and measured off the square footage of the job and from that point everything went rolling into play. He completely handled everything in a very professional and courteous way, and when it came down for giving the estimate he was right on the money.
