"What a wonderful experience! Nick did a perfect job refacing my ugly, brick fireplace. He was polite and listened to my vision of what I wanted the fireplace to look like. Nick prepared and completed the work with respect for my home. Thank you Nick! Flue Tech was a delight to work with. Phone calls were friendly and I was notified when Nick would be arriving in the morning. There was no waiting. All service companies should be run like Flue Tech! "Home Service Experts matched a $50 offer from a competitor when we called them before the job began. They arrived late but called us to explain their circumstances at least three times in advance of their arrival. They had been on another job which ran late because that homeowner had no heat and Home Service Experts wouldn't leave them without heating. Upon their arrival, they inspected our fireplace and immediately explained that there was no need to clean it. They showed me that the chimney was completely void of creosote by looking up into it with a light. When inspecting the fireplace, we told them that water had been accumulating in it. Home Service Experts thoroughly examined the fireplace looking for the source of the leak including getting a ladder and climbing onto the roof. They examined the flashing at the base of the chimney, noted it was not sealed, and went into detail as to how I could test for a water leak and repair it myself or contact someone who does flashing. They also explained and showed me that inside the chimney, one wall of the flue was not concreted (evidently, it should have been) but the owner didn't think that was the root cause of the leak. Overall, they spent considerable time and offered clear and thorough explanations to me, all at no charge. The owner seemed like a very knowledgeable and likeable guy who was really trying to be helpful. Seemed like an old school, blue collar type which I truly appreciated. Would call them again or recommend them without reservation."

"The crew worked hard all day to take down my old deteriorating chimney and rebuild a new one, making sure to match the new
bricks with the color of my old ones.  I couldn't have asked for a more polite professional crew. They were great to work with.
They also put a new cap on.  Mr Jameson always responded quickly to any phone calls."

"Jim was professional and an expert in figuring out what was faulty. He identified that we needed to replace the gas valve and not only installed a new one but also restored the embers as well. We are thrilled, and we and our landlord will recommend Jim to anyone needing fireplace installation or repairs. Jim was also very respectful and punctual. Jim was also incredibly courteous and generous with his time especially because we have a cancer patient in our apartment. Thank you Jim!"

"Knowledgable, inexpensive and VERY helpful!
So... to sum it up,
Eddy was the most knowledgable person we have spoken to about trees.
The quote for trimming the remaining trees in the yard was extremely
cheap.  He was so helpful not only on the
trees we called about, but on recommendations for the future as well!
Now here's the down and dirty...
A certified Aroborist came out for a free estimate to check out our yard.
He was on time and very nice.  We called to have him look at our
redwoods which haven't been looking so great recently, but he started in
the front yard and gave us some free advice on our trees out there as
well as the backyard.
When we went to the backyardto look at our
redwoods, he said they look healthy and are starting to come back to
life... basically, we don't need his services!!  (Another guy who was
not certified said he would trim it for $600!!!).  Eddy from Double Tree
service (not the other guy) said to leave the remaining 6 trees
alone this season and call him in 6-10 months to come back for a
trimming.
He was SO knowledgable.  Immediately he asked when
we had the patio slate put in, and attributed that to the health of our
trees (apparently the roots had been dug out and the dirt in the back
suffocated the roots on the far side?!  Who knew?).  But he recommended
that we wait to see how the tree responds before trimming it.
The rough estimated quote for trimming all the trees and possibly removing
one (that would eventually damage the slate and brick wall) was
EXTREMELY reasonable.
Bottom line... THEY ARE THE BEST!!!  Definitely hire these guys above anyone else... your wallet and yard will thank you for it.

"It was satisfactory. They came out again probably a month or so after their first visit. I have not had any issues with the service that they provided but I do not know if the price could have been better or not."

"Structureline is the best contractor experience I have had so far -- with any construction project there will be quirks and things to work out, but Ed and Nicolas always felt like partners through the entire process.  My Husband  and I also enjoy doing things ourselves, though we were limited by our co-op's rules, but Ed and Nicolas  worked with us on what we did want to do (painting, assembly of built-in shelves, etc.).
I hired them for a interior renovation of a co-op apartment built around 1950-1960 with plaster walls.  The renovation encompassed kitchen, bathroom, flooring, the construction of a walk-in closet, and skim coating the walls. Also, the apartment had very little built-in lighting, so we asked them to install track lighting in the apartment as well.  We did not use a designer, but we did provide them with drawings for the kitchen cabinet layouts and lighting as well as measurements for the walk-in closet.  We also purchased almost all of the materials and furnishings for installation.
They installed everything as asked and worked with us on addressing any quirks they found in the unit (e.g., walls not straight making installation of something difficult, etc.).. What impressed me though are the small touches that we did not ask for -- several electrical outlets were installed into the kitchen that were not asked for but I am really GRATEFUL that they did.  They also took time to straighten handles, knobs, light fixtures, replace vent covers, among other small touches.
They are definitely using technology to their fullest, with Ed being available via email as well as texting.  He was usually very quick to reply, snapping photos of any problems or questions and sending to me.
Nicholas  has a great problem solving mind, coming up with different ways to approach what we wanted in the bathroom, kitchen, and living room.
I would definitely recommend them after this experience.
