"I had to have my chimney repaired. I had to have some brick work done on the chimney and I needed a cap. I called North American Chimney because I had them out to clean my chimney before and they did a nice job. I called and made an appt. The technicians came out to take a look and gave me a price for a cap and brickwork. I was pleased with the price and I told them to do the job. They did the work that day and I was so happy. The technicians were very professional and knowledgable. I would recommend them to anyone that needs Chimney work as well as fireplaces and many other services."

Only critique would be a slight gap between the backsplash and wall, which had I noticed sooner I am sure they could have corrected with caulk or pushing backsplash closer. It is hardly noticeable. "We bought our house in 2014 and brought in the Chimney Chap to do a routine cleaning in 2015, having never used our fireplace before. We knew that it was questionable and wanted to have it looked at before using it. As it turned out, the previous owners had painted the chimney to hide loose bricks and it was definitely not safe for use. Within a couple of days, we had a full estimate of the work that would need to be done - demolishing the chimney to the roof line and rebuilding. The earliest they could fit us in was the spring since we had our chimney cleaned in the late fall. We scheduled them for three days in June. The office was very easy to work with and our chimney looks great, they even built it up a bit higher than code. I feel confident that we can use the fireplace this year without worrying about hazards. I would recommend their work. They are professional and approachable."

"Our chimney needed to be rebuilt from the roof up. We called Carl for an estimate and he sent someone out who gave a free verbal estimate of $1300.00. We scheduled the work and were told they would come out to do the project as soon as they could, as there were other projects ahead of us. The work was completed during three consecutive days by the same gentleman who came out the first time to give the verbal estimate. On the third day, when the work was completed, Carl's worker stated he would be collecting a check from us that day. He then asked what we were quoted on the formal estimate from the company. This came as a complete surprise to us as the only estimate we had ever received was the free, verbal estimate when he first visited our home. He then told my husband he was under the impression the total for the work came to $1800.00 and then he called Carl to confirm. Because of the miscommunication, Carl agreed to charge us $1350.00. This was a positive aspect in our dealings with the company, although they could have been more communicative and clear regarding a formal estimate in the first place. After the work was done, we noticed a lot of debris on our roof, including broken bricks and mortar from the old chimney. We also noticed that a large piece of mortar/cement had been left under our back deck as well as had been spread over parts of our foundation. We are assuming this was extra and the worker was trying to dispose of it. We also never received a receipt for the work. We should have asked for one when we gave him the check, but we were going out of town and were in a rush. Therefore, my husband called Carl multiple times the next week. Carl never answered his phone and his voicemail box was full every single time. My husband also sent an e-mail to the address listed on the company's website, detailing our concerns: 1) no receipt, 2) debris on the roof, and 3) a free cleaning of the chimney which had been part of a verbal agreement -- and my husband never heard back. Due to their unresponsiveness and the mess that was left at our home, we have given up on contacting this company and will be using a different company for any further chimney repairs or cleanings in the future."

"They inserted the stainless steel liner. They were thorough and neat, and even installed - at no extra cost - a chimney cap that fit (replacing 2 ill-fitting, poorly installed caps that still another inept company put on about 5 years ago). It will take weeks for the bricks to dry out, but I am confident that these guys finally diagnosed the problem correctly."

"Sam's Masonry was great! Sam promptly came to the property to look at the job and quickly turned around a price quote. Sam's prices are VERY competitive and a great value for the quality of work performed. Over the course of two days, Sam was able to remove all the old mortar and caulking, clean the stairs, and replace the mortar with new cement. He was also able to cement some bricks on the sidewalk and help pitch the water away from the building. It worked perfectly! We look forward to working with Sam again!"

"We were very pleased with Ray and his crew when they came and replaced our chimney liner... Ray is extremely knowledgeable and always makes sure that safety is a priority... Our fireplace was causing smoke in certain parts of the house. Ray suggested a liner and told us it was very important to do this work. While installing the liner Ray did extra work at no charge and repaired some bricks around the chimney... We now have a working safe fireplace. Highly recommended 5 Star!"
