They protected the basement storage area from any dust or debris by putting up plastic sheeting and laying down tarp. When they were finished, the area was spotless. The cement patch work on the wall opening was done nicely too. The replacement connections to oil water heater and two oil furnaces looks great as well. It all went well and we were pleased to have hired Chimney Savers and Mark Schaub and his crew. His estimate was fair."

"Tom arrived at 9:57 for a 10:00 appointment.  He was dressed in Assurance Chimney uniform.  He went right to work inspecting both chimneys we have.  He cleaned one and said the other did not need it.  He left the house clean.  While up on the roof inspecting both the inside and out of the chimneys, he noticed some flashing that needed resealing.  We were having a leak in this area.  He quickly and professionally did the job.  I have been using Assurance Chimney since 1991.  No one else has ever cleaned or repaired my chimney.  I highly recommend Assurance Chimney and Tom Lloyd.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"First they did not show up for the first appointment. I had to call and ask if they were coming. Another appointment was made. A third appointment was needed for the cricket . When they installed the cricket, they did not vaccume out the mess. They had a tarp on the ground, but still were disrespectful of my home, walking over the mess and tracking the dirt. I requested information on cleaning the indoor brick. I was told, they had a great product and would bring it out for me to sample. They never came or called me about this product. The never called to ask if the outside brick work was effective after a rain storm. Yes, the re- pointing of the outdoor bricks did not leak, and the work was satisfactory. They need to improve customer service. I will not use them again. <br />"

"Tony came and inspected my fireplace chimney as well as the heating chimney. He let me know what needed to be done to bring everything up to code. On the day of service, 2 crew members came to do the job. They swept the fireplace flue and applied the Thermocrete ceramic liner inside. They also installed a new damper and chimney cap. On the exterior, they repaired damaged bricks and mortar and rebuilt the concrete crown. They also installed bluestone slabs on the chimney shoulders and waterproofed the entire exterior from top to bottom. They also repaired some of the loose mortar on the interior as well. For the heating chimney they installed a new stainless steel liner to vent the boiler and hot water heater to code. They also installed a stainless steel chimney cap and double tee. The guys did a fantastic job. They cleaned up after themselves and also gave me good tips. I would definitely recommend 1 Hour Chimney and use them again in the future."

"Excellent experience. Tony was personable and knowledgeable and offered a reasonable price for the masonry work. We had multiple estimates so we knew the price was reasonable. Danny, his brother, is an expert in natural stone work and did the job neatly and artistically. He brought an excellent crew who also worked with diligence and pride in their craftsmanship. They cleaned up after each day. In one and a half days Danny reassembled our front stone steps and the crew reset and repointed our stone path along the walkway as well as repointed our stone flower boxes. The outcome was fabulous. I highly recommend this team of workers. It is difficult to find good stone masons these days. Danny knows his craft well and will make your stone work beautiful!"

He installed a chimney liner and performed repair work on our chimney crown and fireplace, his prices were reasonable and the job was done professionally and cleanly. "I highly recommend Ace Masonry! Pat Allen Owner is extremely knowledgeable about the masonry business and is a very nice person. He’s assembled a crew that worked quickly and expertly. We had our existing slate and mortar backyard dug up and replaced with paving stones, we also had the area edged with stone to retain the flower beds. The crew arrived on a Tuesday morning before 8 and moved all the furniture out of the way. Less than 4 hours later the yard was dug up and all the stone was removed. By days end the yard was ringed by beautiful mortared stones retaining the dirt for the raised flower beds. Fast forward to Saturday 12:30 pm and the job was completed ahead of time, even though a workday was lost to rain. The crew is the best! They left the yard clean and their equipment organized every day. If it wasn’t for the work progress you wouldn’t know they had been there. As a finishing touch, Pat replaced my existing mulch that was lost during the work, what wonderful attention to the little details. They also moved all my furniture back. The pavers are beautiful and the flowers ring the area with color. It’s now one of the nicest places to sit and relax in Jersey City. We shopped a few quotes and Pat’s price was more than competitive and his work is impeccable. Before he left on Saturday we discussed another project and we expect that to start in the coming weeks."
