Finally, I went to Angie's list for reviews.  They did not steer me wrong.  I met with the owner Matt for a consultation.  He knew his stuff and was very pleasant to work with. 90 days same as cash and my pellet stove was installed.  I love it.  It is beautiful.  I had just painted my brick hearth white and they didn't even make any marks during installation.  I highly recommend this company.

The owner/boss of the operation is hard-working, conscientious, friendly, and straightforward. My minor gripe, the B for quality, is not a criticism of the boss, but more his workers, who left things messy and somewhat unfinished. It seemed like they wouldn't do a good job unless he was there to point out the shortfalls.  As long as you're willing to speak up when things aren't right, I am confident that the firm will do whatever is needed. "The company rapidly responded to the service request and booked an appointment with me in a timely fashion. Technician, John, arrived on time and did call 20-30 minutes prior to arrival. He was polite, profession and respected the property. Quickly diagnosed the issue and provided me with several options after showing me and explaining the issue with the fireplace. Fortunately the parts were in his truck and he was able to quickly effect a repair. Everything was cleaned up and he even cleaned the fireplace glass insert (this is a natural gas fireplace). "The repointing work was generally done well. Old mortar and bricks were removed and new bricks were installed. The craftsmanship was excellent. However, the color of the mortar used differed from that in the rest of the brickwork, so at present it stands out. Sixpenny said to wait a period and then re-evaluate whether any change should be made. I would rate this as an "A" but for the color difference in the mortar that was not expected. The chimney cap work was done well."

We hired Chimney.com to remove the old insert, rebuild the support, remove the brick surrounding the fireplace, install a new insert, and replace drywall. "A few weeks after purchasing a Big Deal coupon, I visited Granite Worksof Maryland to select a piece of granite for my vanity top. I told Art that the vanity was white and I wanted a granite remnant that would contrast with the white but nothing too exotic. Surprisingly Art found a remnant that met all of my requirements after only 15 minutes of searching. We then discussed amount of overhang, shape of sink, and bevel type and he finally instructed me in what measurements I needed to provide him before fabrication could start. There was a bit of miscommunication on the measurements but I was able to send him a diagram of the vanity dimensions and how it was situated with respect to the bathroom walls so that fabrication could take place.
When the vanity top was installed and I polished the stone, I just had to marvel at the quality of the stone. To me it looked like it had come from the Queen's bathroom in Windsor Castle. I had looked at a few remnant suppliers but Granite Works Big Deal price was by far the lowest. Art and Bruno know their stone.
I will point out that the Big Deal did not include a technician coming to my residence to take the necessary measurements, the delivery of the vanity top to my residence, and the installation of the vanity top, back splash, and side splash or anyplumbing parts installation."
