"Wow! Amazing service. I must've called 8 different places in a panic trying to get the brick mounts which hold the mantel removed from my old fireplace so the surface could be prepped for a new TV. Seemed like an easy task (I thought), but it was a little more meticulous than I thought. I called this team and they arrived same day! Incredible customer service and expertise. Not only did they return the day after providing an estimate and remove the brick mounts, they actually re-fabricated the brick to make the holes disappear! This team knows their stuff!! "We had contacted Chimney.com and asked if they could check out our gas fireplace and tell us if it needs to be replaced or fixed. Ours was a 2002 possible model, so it definitely need to be replaced. They let us know what the estimate would be for a total replacement with a Majestic Fireplace and all the bells and whistles that come with it! We said yes and set a date. Then they notified us that it came in early and if we would like them to come out earlier than scheduled and we said YES!! They showed up early in the morning -a little after 8 AM which is fabulous! They worked the whole day taking the old stuff out putting the new stuff in! The crew cleaned up as they worked. "The owner of Stone Depot, Nick Papas, offers hands on professional service.   I am a realtor, so great service is part of my professional standard and I appreciate it in others.  Nick was always available by phone and was very responsive.  I was nervous about selecting my granite, and I changed my mind at the last minute.   Nick was very gracious and allowed me to select another granite that I preferred. His team arrived for the installation on time and did an outstanding job.  The was a minor issue with caulking, and Nick sent someone out the next day to finish it off.  I could not be more happy with my granite and Stone Depot.  I was advised to personally select my slab of granite - which I did.  All granite is different, so that was good advice.  The location for selection was in Sterling VA, which was great for me since I live in VA.
I also checked out Counter Intelligence, but found the salesman was not very concerned and did not go the extra mile to get my business.  I  had to drive all the way to Silver Spring MD to look at samples of granite slabs.  That was to far to go.  Also, their price quote was higher.  The smaller company atmosphere at Stone Depot was a much better choice for me.  I highly recommend them!

"A few weeks after purchasing a Big Deal coupon, I visited Granite Worksof Maryland to select a piece of granite for my vanity top. I told Art that the vanity was white and I wanted a granite remnant that would contrast with the white but nothing too exotic. Surprisingly Art found a remnant that met all of my requirements after only 15 minutes of searching. We then discussed amount of overhang, shape of sink, and bevel type and he finally instructed me in what measurements I needed to provide him before fabrication could start. There was a bit of miscommunication on the measurements but I was able to send him a diagram of the vanity dimensions and how it was situated with respect to the bathroom walls so that fabrication could take place.
When the vanity top was installed and I polished the stone, I just had to marvel at the quality of the stone. To me it looked like it had come from the Queen's bathroom in Windsor Castle. I had looked at a few remnant suppliers but Granite Works Big Deal price was by far the lowest. Art and Bruno know their stone.
I will point out that the Big Deal did not include a technician coming to my residence to take the necessary measurements, the delivery of the vanity top to my residence, and the installation of the vanity top, back splash, and side splash or anyplumbing parts installation."
