"Excellent - I highly recommend Jimmy LiPuma and Licaro Builders. He's straightforward and honest in his assessments, provides competitive and accurate quotes, and his team does high-quality work. To top it off, his subcontractors are good people who are easy to work with. We had a general vision for our kitchen, and Jimmy's experience and guidance executed the project beyond our expectations. If you're in need of a contractor with knowledge and integrity, look no further."

"I requested an inspection of my exterior chimney and cleaning of my chimney prior to selling my house in February. Al committed to coming out the next day, confirmed his appointment day-of, was on time, and respected my property by taking his shoes off - all appreciated. His evaluation of my fireplace took 2 minutes. He preferred not clean the chimney until I used a creosote converter - which means I couldn't have my chimney cleaned that day. He also then told me he couldn't evaluate the exterior chimney until is was warmer/spring, and to call him back. The weather in February is what it is, and if I had known he wouldn't even consider evaluating the chimney at that point, I would have waited and not taken off work for the appointment. When I called back to set up follow-up appointments, he kept saying he would need to call me back once he saw what the weather was going to be like - and then either did not return my call or would call and ask to come over and do the cleaning and evaluation within the hour. I did at one point give him permission over the phone to stop and get on the roof without me being there so that I could understand what repairs would be needed to the top of the chimney and caps, but then didn't hear back from him for several weeks and never with any details about what he saw. I ended up telling him I didn't need his services and more recently hiring another company who scheduled a week in advance, came at the specified time, cleaned the chimney, added a damper and repaired the top - all in about an hour, and with a lot less hassle. I think he probably does good work, but he seems challenged to manage his schedule, and if there was more up front communication about what Columbia would / would not do in cold weather, etc, I would have waited or found another company."

"I had to move quickly, was going through a divorce and needed work done at the property to which I was moving. The most urgent item was erecting a fence for my dogs. Jeff met me at the property and we discussed a number of items I wanted done. He spoke about the big projects he's done for large corporations and assured me he could get the work done prior to my deadline. Jeff told me he needed a deposit to get started. Because I didn't want any delays, I gave him a $1,200 deposit without anything in writing. He missed every promised deadline and each time I contacted him, he turned the situation around saying he would get the work done if I stopped bothering him. I continued to contact him because nothing was getting done and he hadn't done anything to move the work forward. He was rude and extremely unprofessional. I kept on him and he finally provided me with a day he'd be out to begin erecting the fence. I couldn't be present the day he was scheduled to be out and when arrived at the property, Jeff was not there, but there were holes throughout my lawn. I called him and was told that a fence could not be erected on my property - no one would be able to install fencing because of tree roots. After he told me he couldn't proceed with the fencing, I requested that my deposit be returned. He first said he would refund the deposit. When a week passed and I received nothing from him, I contacted him again and he told me he did the work and was owed the money. Because he spent time making holes all over my property, he believed he should be paid. By the way, he left the holes throughout my lawn. Holes that created a liability for me. I continued to contact him and on one call, he indicated that he visited his lawyer and would be sending me the invoice for the money due to him, and indicated that I would receive a check for the remaining portion of the deposit. I never received any of my deposit back. Jeff is dishonest and anything but honorable. Beware."
