"Tony and his colleague showed up and got straight to work.  The men were careful about tracking any dirt into the house and used shoe covers.  The job took about 30 minutes to complete and Tony was a wealth of information on how to use the wood burning fireplace and gave suggestions on using starter wood .  They inspected the fireplace and advised I needed two tiles to be replaced and gave me an estimate; along with the $150 credit from the Angie's List purchase the estimate was less than the purchase price for one tile from Home Depot.
I was happy with the overall service and would use them again.

"Bryan came out to our house and looked over our system.  We have used him before and appreciate his honesty and patience in answering all of our questions.  We never felt pressured or overwhelmed when talking to him.  Since this was a big job, we wanted to make sure we asked all the right questions and understood what to expect once the job was complete.
Our system was old, so we knew it was time to either start patching it year after year or replace it.  After weighting all the options that he and other compaies provided us, we decided to replace it.
We chose Bryan because of his honesty and professionalism.  He wanted to make sure we are happy and pleased with his work.  It took 2 days like he planned.  First day was only a couple hours to remove the old system and the next day to install the new one. He didn't mind us asking quesitons while he worked. When he was done, the work area was clean and the system looks and works great.

"I purchased the Angies List Big Deal which was 4 hours of masonry repairs for $100.I had a number of small and large projects and planned on contracting with this company for additional work pending a bid. I was asked to send a prioritized list which I did. The rep would not make an appointment to come out and see the job. He said he would just stop by some time. Weeks went by and several phone calls and emails by me yielded no visit. I would have dropped it but I had already paid for the Big Deal. I finally got them out five months later and they did some of the repairs on my list. They repaired part of the wall and just stopped, I assume when the prepaid money ran out. The window ledges looked good, but the wall work was kind of sloppy, with mortar on the stone faces. When this adventure started, I expected them to give me a price on the various jobs and I would have them do much more, and the Big Deal would only be part of the job, but that never came to pass. Not only would I not use this company again, but I would not purchase another Angies List Big Deal again. Seems like the contractors have little incentive to act promptly since the money is prepaid. I did call Angies List near the end of this and they said I could get a refund if I wanted, but I decided to give one more nudge to the contractor first, and that prompted the work to finally start.

"For several years, we’ve been planning to replace our kitchen counters. When Angie’s List promoted a deal offered by Jeffress Stone, we inquired whether this was the deal we’d been looking for. And it really turned out to be, from quality of the stone to craftsmanship to value. First, Jeffress sent us photos of the stones included in the deal. When we realized we couldn’t make a decision based solely on photographs, Jeffress arranged for us to visit their warehouse, where we were treated graciously. But we found something we liked much more than the samples, and feared that the up-sell would bust the deal. But the added cost proved to be reasonable and fair. Both direct contacts were professional and timely. Gary arrived a few minutes early to make measurements and the template, and that process took nearly two hours. As a result, the finished stone fit perfectly. Similarly, the installation crew arrived a few minutes early, and the owner, Dave, followed close on their heels. He was present throughout the entire installation. We were especially impressed by the care with which the crew mixed caulk to match our cabinets exactly for one tricky seam. The crew took care to clean up when the job was done and to make sure we were satisfied with the installation. We’ve received several compliments on the new look in our kitchen and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jeffress Stone."
