"This Nassau County Licensed Chimney Contractor came to repair the attachment mechanism for our masonry fireplace door hat had been inadvertently damaged by another contractor. He was not able to safely repair it and recommended that we purchase a new one. He was nice enough to not charge us for his service call and the time he spent trying to fix it as well as the time he spent measuring the dimensions for a new unit. We will call this company again when needed."

We noticed damage to our paver stone driveway during a final walkthrough of a house that we were purchasing the next day and needed to understand how much work would be involved in order to discuss the topic at our closing the following day. Anthony asked us for pictures and from those was able to come up with a detailed quote which considered all aspects of the project. He was extremely fast to respond and we were able to be prepared. "Tom arrived at 9:57 for a 10:00 appointment.  He was dressed in Assurance Chimney uniform.  He went right to work inspecting both chimneys we have.  He cleaned one and said the other did not need it.  He left the house clean.  While up on the roof inspecting both the inside and out of the chimneys, he noticed some flashing that needed resealing.  We were having a leak in this area.  He quickly and professionally did the job.  I have been using Assurance Chimney since 1991.  No one else has ever cleaned or repaired my chimney.  I highly recommend Assurance Chimney and Tom Lloyd.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"We were referred to Pepe Paving by friends of ours who had just used them and were very happy. Since our friend has high standards and a good eye, we soon after called Pepe Paving for a quote. Maurizio of Pepe Paving redid our patio and created our new retaining wall, replacing our crumbling brick patio and retaining wall bordering it, and removing an undefined buried heap of junk on the corner of our property left by the previous owners (old pipes, fences and other construction debris). The quote he gave us was very reasonable and he was prompt, helpful and professional. He responded to questions within 24-48 hour period. And when the job required more work than initially anticipated (due to 2 hidden layers of cement patio under our original brick patio), he didn’t upcharge us and still managed to finish on time. The final patio and retaining wall far exceeded our expectations. The patio has elevated the look of our house and created a great place for entertaining. Maurizio is a pleasure to work with and graciously answered questions when our neighbors stopped by to see what was going on- they were impressed. We would definitely go with Pepe Paving again if I had any further projects of this nature. I wish more contractors were this good."

"Where do I begin? ... I can't say enough about Scott and his team; they are by far the easiest contractors I have ever dealt with. To start, Scott took my ideas for the driveway I wanted and put it on steroids! Then, in every step of the process, they went one step further than I expected or anticipated. For example, [1] the concrete finish was to be brushed, but Scott put a swirl finish on it which is much nicer and was more labor-intensive; [2] all pavers were set on a concrete "shelf" to prevent sinking; [3] additional rebar was used below the pavers to provide stability and prevent cracking; [4] the paver edging and bands were mortared together, not just jointed with polymeric sand; [5] the apron pavers follow the contour of the curb; and I could go on and on. The quality and workmanship of Rock Masonry is top-notch ... you won't find anyone better!"

"First they did not show up for the first appointment. I had to call and ask if they were coming. Another appointment was made. A third appointment was needed for the cricket . When they installed the cricket, they did not vaccume out the mess. They had a tarp on the ground, but still were disrespectful of my home, walking over the mess and tracking the dirt. I requested information on cleaning the indoor brick. I was told, they had a great product and would bring it out for me to sample. They never came or called me about this product. The never called to ask if the outside brick work was effective after a rain storm. Yes, the re- pointing of the outdoor bricks did not leak, and the work was satisfactory. They need to improve customer service. I will not use them again. <br />"
