"We had not used our fireplace since moving into the house a year ago. Archway's team arrived on time, set up and got right to work. They identified several issues with the fireplace itself and with the flashing around the chimney on the roof. They cleaned the chimney, did some temporary sealing of the flashing (will have to return when the weather is warmer for long-term repair work) and resurfaced the fireplace floor and back wall where there were some cracks. I thought they did a very nice job and will hire them again."

"Kevin Lewis, owner, visited and saw the cracks. He gave me the same advice as another contractor. The builder poured the entire slab as one piece and as such it's going to crack sooner or later. Repair is not recommended. Replacing the floor when it breaks down is the only true fix. I apprecaite his integrity and honesty."

"We realize that tuckpointing is a weather-dependent activity. They were supposed to start on a Thursday, but rain, or threat of rain kept them away until Monday. But once they started, the crew was very efficient. The amount of bricks replaced was amazing, but the house looks great. When they ran into an area where they encountered questionable wall integrity, they worked back from that spot and replaced as needed. The best part of the crew was the cleanup. After they left each day, you would never know (aside from the scaffolding left in place) that any work was being done on the house. They laid out tarps to catch all debris. Even our deck was probably cleaner after they were done than when they started! When they accidentally busted through the outside wall into our fireplace, they  repaired the damage and re-skimcoated the fireplace interior where the new brick had been placed. The only disappointment was one day where they could have worked, but the weather was iffy - they made a judgement call and didn't work and it turned out to be a beautiful day. That is why I dinged them slightly on punctuality. But the overall job was completed ahead of schedule. We were extremely satisfied with both the workmanship, but also with the courtesy and professionalism of the crew. <br /> <br />"
