"It turned out fine. I have no complaints. The work was performed on time. There was some additional work that they prescribed, that we conducted. The fire box in the fireplace was missing some tiles. So it was a safety matter that they pointed out to us, and they repaired it. They charged extra for the extra service they performed for the safety matter. I am always cautions about providers up saling, but there was a true safety issue with the fireplace. It was a legitimate up charge. I can't think of anything they could have done better. I always reserve A's for people who do super super exceptional service. These guys were good, but there wasn't anything super exceptional about them except they were on time and did the job they were supposed to do. The thing that stood out the most to me is that they were on time."

"I had a great experience with Chimney Inspectors LLC. Vitaliy, the owner, cleaned and inspected my chimney. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. His crew installed a metal chimney liner, flue, and new chimney cap; and performed masonry repairs inside and outside. They were polite and hard working. When all was done, Vitaliy came back and installed the new fireplace doors I had ordered; and provided a product to clean the soot off the brick fireplace surround. I was very impressed with his expertise in all things relating to chimneys, fireplaces, and wood stoves; and with his responsiveness to customer communications. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again if the need arises."

"Ashmasters sweept the chimney by going inside the fireplace and putting some kind of a brush and a vacuum up it. It took only about 10 minutes. They brought their own ladder and went up on the roof to inspect the chimney which they said had been injured in the earthquake we had several years ago. They explained the danger in not fixing it (rain getting inside the bricks and freezing.) They estimated the job by describing how many rounds of brick would have to be replaced. and adding on the cost of a new "crown" and rain cap. I asked them to take my cell phone up and take a picture of the places where the brick is broken and they did that. I decided to hire them to repair the chimney. They gave me credit on the total price for the amount that the sweeping cost. I put down a deposit for the new brick and will see them in a few weeks."

"A few weeks after purchasing a Big Deal coupon, I visited Granite Worksof Maryland to select a piece of granite for my vanity top. I told Art that the vanity was white and I wanted a granite remnant that would contrast with the white but nothing too exotic. Surprisingly Art found a remnant that met all of my requirements after only 15 minutes of searching. We then discussed amount of overhang, shape of sink, and bevel type and he finally instructed me in what measurements I needed to provide him before fabrication could start. There was a bit of miscommunication on the measurements but I was able to send him a diagram of the vanity dimensions and how it was situated with respect to the bathroom walls so that fabrication could take place.
When the vanity top was installed and I polished the stone, I just had to marvel at the quality of the stone. To me it looked like it had come from the Queen's bathroom in Windsor Castle. I had looked at a few remnant suppliers but Granite Works Big Deal price was by far the lowest. Art and Bruno know their stone.
I will point out that the Big Deal did not include a technician coming to my residence to take the necessary measurements, the delivery of the vanity top to my residence, and the installation of the vanity top, back splash, and side splash or anyplumbing parts installation."

"The technicians redid the bricks so that you couldn't even tell they were repaired. It looked beautiful. They put in a new liner in the chimney and waterproofed it. They redid the inside of the fireplace to bring it up to code and put in a chain that easily opens and closes the flue. It looks so good and easy that I may decide to use the fireplace again. They redid the pipes in the basement so the fumes from the boiler and hot water heater went up the chimney in the correct way. There had been water damage and they corrected the damage and closed off the hole in the wall (foundation) and made a bigger hole in the correct place so that everything was up to code. They were polite, efficient and worked very hard to get the work done in the promised two days. I have interviewed many companies and found this company to be straight-forward in telling me what they would do and didn't try to tell me they were giving me a "good deal." Rather I feel they gave me an honest estimate on what needed to be done and didn't try to pressure me into using their company. They did give me 10% off because I was an Angie's List customer. What company to use was a hard decision for me because I knew nothing about chimney repair. Because so much of the repair was inside the chimney I couldn't tell what they had done. Based on my experience I feel they did a good job. I don't have a picture of the repaired chimney but it looks great--better than it did before the bricks fell. If someone wants more detail I can copy exactly what they did from the invoice. Also, maybe the company can show a picture of the finished product. Since it is summer time I haven't had any experience using the chimney but will let you know how things work out during the winter."

"We bought a house that had a severely damaged chimney that looked as if it would fall over and bust through our roof after a modest gust of wind.  A&T came out and did a quick estimate for us which was quite a bit cheaper than other companies and they also did not try to up-sell us to do additional work (replacing flue, etc) using scare tactics.  We quickly scheduled them to come out a week after the estimate in order to do the work.  They probably would have come out even sooner but we waited to get a final quote from another company.  
They arrived promptly at their window and did all the work with neither my wife or I required to be home (a huge huge plus).  They estimated that the work may take up to a day and a half, but finished in half of a day.  After completion of the job they emailed me some photos of the chimney so that I could see what they had done up close without having to get up on a 40 foot ladder.
I would give them A's all around just for what I described, but they went above and beyond.  Because they had some left over materials, they patched up some cracking that they saw on my roof while they were up there  I actually think that this even fixed a small leak in our sun room that I was going to have someone else come out and look out.  Amazing job - would absolutely hire again.
