"Very good meeting, as the inspector was very professional, experienced and shared his expert knowledge by providing a conversational walk-through, while performing his testing and analysis of the history of the fireplaces, their current state of operation in terms of being up-to-code, their efficiency and safety with regards to any potential existing, visual hazards or risks. He was prompt, friendly and clean with his respect of the work area and with his equipment. He encouraged questions and provided explanations in layman terms; "what if" scenarios; clarified his opinions from his qualified recommendations regarding Next Steps required to ensure the best quality for the homeowners from each fireplace. Company has a long history with high standards and reputable with other professionals in the industry (e.g., plumbers required to install a new gas line for the installation of a gas insert fireplace). He shared his preliminary feedback on his findings on site with us and follow-up in less than a day with his report, detailing all the options involved for us to make an informed decision on the required work involved to make a fireplace "up to code" (including costs, time frame to complete each option, and priority for what must be handled urgently in the short term with the outside chimney vs the timing of the work to the inside fireplace for our budget planning). His report summarized our conversations during the inspection and pictures from his camera, so there were no surprises to us. "I originally hired Able Chimney to install a rain cap on my chimney, and after talking to the owner Mike, I learned they had masons on staff and would be willing to fix my wall. I had previously talked to 5 other masons and Able Chimney was by far the most professional company. The other guys I talked to would not commit to a date to do the work and kept leading me on for months. Mike told me he would be out in two weeks and he showed up like he said he would. His price was the highest of all the bids I got (but not my much), but I still hired him because I trusted him and his crew to do a good job since they had already done some work on my chimney. The job was done beautifully. They re-used the original 100 year old bricks so you cant tell there was ever an issue and he charged me what he bid. He also guaranteed the work for 25 years. The previous owner of my house was at our neighborhood block party. He owned the house for 60 years and he was so happy to see the wall fixed with the original bricks. That really made his day. I wish more masonry companies in the area operated like these guys."

"The roofing process went quite well with Craftsman, from initial bid to job completion. The sales rep was new, but friendly, open, and honest and actually went on the old/existing roof to check it out to get the bid right, and the quoted price was what we paid in the end. He also gave us some local houses they had recently done in the colors we were considering to see how they looked on a roof of similar style. They worked around our schedule toward the end of the year, and were able to get the roof replaced during the early cold blast where the temps dropped toward 0 degrees. After the first snows and heavy rains the roof seems to be keeping our attic dry which we are thankful for heading into winter. After going up near the roof to hang Christmas lights, the work seems to be decent quality. The only thing I would suggest is for a bit more communication either beforehand or from the team lead on the plan for flashing and an explanation on why they chose to go with overlapping shingles instead of a metal valley where I had inquired with the sales rep."

"Great!   He matched the brick colors and patterns so it looks better than the original.  He put a limestone cap on the top of the chimney and cut it so it has a bit of overhang so it protects the bricks better.  It looks awesome!  He's an artist and craftsman.  And really interesting to talk with. <br /> We'd definitely hire him again or recommend him for any stonework.  His eye for color and patterns made the results look great. <br /> Thank you! <br />"

"exactly as promised, obviously a professional repair. Repair blends in perfectly with the existing chimney, also fixed the flue cable. Bid was the same as another I received from another established company, but I believe they used better materials. Also cleaned up when the job was finished."
