They removed the gas insert and from their information, I know I need a wood burning fireplace insert. They also cleaned the fireplace and flue system. Excellent work! I will re-hire them to repair the brickwork, crown and flashing."

"     This is a company that is excellent in every way and John Mohler is a pleasure to work with.  I had obtained about 5 bids and I knew within a couple of minutes of talking with him that I would more than likely choose him.  His bid amount came somewhere in the middle of everyone's.  He is not your "typical" contractor and is not full of the usual "swagger and stuffing" that you often come across in the building/remodeling industry.  To my mind, he sets the gold standard as to how all contractors should be running their businesses. <br />      He did everything he said he would and more.  He has excellent communication skills, kept me updated as necessary prior to starting, and I felt completely at ease throughout the whole process.  You will not be disappointed in choosing this company.  Seriously - Absolutely no aggravation or frustration.  His crews are well-trained, courteous, very skilled, and quick.  My "new" chimney is lovely and perfectly matches my 1922 house and I'm good to go for another 30 or so years!  Many thanks to Nick and the rest of the crew for a job really well done!  I really have not had a better experience with any other home improvement/remodeling company. <br />"

"I originally hired Able Chimney to install a rain cap on my chimney, and after talking to the owner Mike, I learned they had masons on staff and would be willing to fix my wall. I had previously talked to 5 other masons and Able Chimney was by far the most professional company. The other guys I talked to would not commit to a date to do the work and kept leading me on for months. Mike told me he would be out in two weeks and he showed up like he said he would. His price was the highest of all the bids I got (but not my much), but I still hired him because I trusted him and his crew to do a good job since they had already done some work on my chimney. The job was done beautifully. They re-used the original 100 year old bricks so you cant tell there was ever an issue and he charged me what he bid. He also guaranteed the work for 25 years. The previous owner of my house was at our neighborhood block party. He owned the house for 60 years and he was so happy to see the wall fixed with the original bricks. That really made his day. I wish more masonry companies in the area operated like these guys."

"The top of the chimney in our 1950's house was spalling badly. The brick was crumbling because there was no drip edge and water went right down the brick. The roof to brick interface started leaking into the house. We got lucky, because Joe and his crew were working in the area. He came out the same day to assess the project and the crew was at work the next day! We were stunned that they got started so quickly. One of our main concerns was making sure the repaired brick matched the existing. When they tore down the chimney, they kept as many of the good bricks as possible. The repair matches almost perfectly. The crew was quick, friendly, and professional."

"I did ask for him to come and review the work I wanted done sooner rather than later, I really really needed to know how much this work was going to cost us.  I truly had no idea, $10,000 or $5000.  He came and met with my fiance, in hindsight, I really should have been here because said fiance had things backwards and stuff, but eventually Rob and I got it all worked out. "The roofing process went quite well with Craftsman, from initial bid to job completion. The sales rep was new, but friendly, open, and honest and actually went on the old/existing roof to check it out to get the bid right, and the quoted price was what we paid in the end. He also gave us some local houses they had recently done in the colors we were considering to see how they looked on a roof of similar style. They worked around our schedule toward the end of the year, and were able to get the roof replaced during the early cold blast where the temps dropped toward 0 degrees. After the first snows and heavy rains the roof seems to be keeping our attic dry which we are thankful for heading into winter. After going up near the roof to hang Christmas lights, the work seems to be decent quality. The only thing I would suggest is for a bit more communication either beforehand or from the team lead on the plan for flashing and an explanation on why they chose to go with overlapping shingles instead of a metal valley where I had inquired with the sales rep."

He and his crew were friendly and with the exception of the new chimney you would never even now that they were there - great site cleanup. Price was fair as well. Would definitely hire again"
