"Two guys showed up on time and got to work immediately inspecting and vacuuming and snaking the fireplace and chimney flue. They operated form the roof and inspected the entire chimney from top to bottom. Both men answered my lay questions kindly and with plenty of detail about minor and major issues they found and the forecasted schedule of when I should address them. They did NOT do the classic inspect-and-force-you-into-buying-a-new-liner routine and that was much appreciated.  They took their time and did not rush the service or question/answers. Our fireplace was causing smoke in certain parts of the house. Ray suggested a liner and told us it was very important to do this work.
