We recently purchased a new home, and through our inspection were told we would need many repairs to our chimney. Rob came out and cleaned the chimney for us, and also assessed/inspected what repairs we truly needed (which thankfully were far fewer than what had been suggested by the inspector). I would recommend Hammond Fireplace & Chimney - and we'll be using them again when we move forward with our repairs!"

We had 3 bids all through Angie's List, one of the companies Granite Outlet II that  we had used before. The other two bids were from Solid Stone Fab. and KAT Fab

Most of the bids were similar, except all of the companies provided different prices for removal, sink cutout, plumbing for rehook-up of sink, and rehooking up stove top.

Granite Outlet II had a plumber in-house. Solid Stone had a recommendation for a plumber and KAT didn't provide a recommendation.

We kept our backslash and KAT was the only company that had an issue with cutting it down if needed. And it was cut to allow for the quartz.

We chose Solid Stone Fabricators because we trusted Claudia to do a good job for us. She was very attuned to our needs and anytime we asked her a question if she didn't already know it she got right back with us. She took good notes and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. She was very professional and a pleasure to work with. We went to see the where the countertops were fabricated at Solid Stone and we also went to Cambria Quartz in Carrollton and looked at the Quartz we wanted and received large samples there.

They came out and measured and showed up on time, then we scheduled for the install.

The installers showed up at their scheduled time and finished in less then 5 hours. The next morning the plumber came and hooked the sink and stove back up.

Claudia came out a few days later and bought us our extra quartz. its VERY heavy but we wanted to keep it and they also made us a cutting board.

"They did a great job. On time and very professional. They corrected a misdiagnosis of the problem that was made by another company and discovered a damper needed replacement. They looked for a way to repair the problem and keep my existing system working. Great company!"

"The repairs went well. He trimmed the trees a bit to get the branches away from the roof and replaced the damaged shingles. Though it hasn't rained yet so I don't know for sure if the leak is fixed. Hopefully I won't have to rely on the 1 year warranty."

"Bryce was very professional, informative and prompt. He found a couple of problems with the electrical wiring to one of the furnaces that were potential fire hazards and repaired them. He did additional work to bring the gas lines up to code on both units and repaired a leak in a vent. 
I appreciated that he took the time to thoroughly explain his findings and recommendations for immediate corrections and what might be issues in the future. I will call Bryce for future heating and A/C checks and for any repairs needed in the future.

"I purchased a "half-day" coupon on Angie's List for $279 and had a list of 5 repair jobs that I figured would take about that long to complete which would make the price worthwhile.  The young repairman who came out (sorry I can't remember his name) did a great job of repairing my front door latch & loose strike plate, and repairing two loose outlets set in the wood siding of my kitchen island.  However, though he tried, he wasn't able to repair my patio umbrella, and said the ceiling fan's noise was an indication that it needed to be replaced rather than repaired.  As a result of only two items actually being repaired, I felt I'd overpaid since I didn't end up needing anyone for a "half day" after all.  That wasn't the fault of the repairman, who was very nice, but I will think twice about buying such an offer again.  It may be better to hire by the job or by the hour.

"Signature Home Improvements did our Kitchen/Bar remodel including with new granite countertops and tile backsplash. We decided to use Signature because they worked with us on design and also have their own employees do the work without using sub-contractors. Their knowledge and expertise was valuable due to a challenging problem with the bar countertop we wanted that needed adequate support for the granite. They designed and built a matching half wall (pony wall) onto an existing cabinet for a nice finished result with very sturdy support for the cantilevered granite bar top. Working with them was a good experience from the start to finish. MJ?s quotation established clear expectations of work required and the workers were knowledgeable and professional with excellent experience and skills and put in extra effort to do quality work. Communication was good throughout the job with scheduling and work plans conveyed clearly and they did what they said they would. The Demolition, Granite, Woodworking and Tile install all went smoothly. They cleaned up each day and were careful to minimize the impact of the work through the rest of the house and this all resulted in a finished job that I am very pleased with. I definitely would use them again for other bathroom or kitchen remodel work and recommend them from my experience on this job.
