"Dan redid the shower in one of our bathrooms, the tile in three bathrooms and replaced our 1st floor carpet with a an engineered hardwood product. Overall we had a very good experience with Dan and would use him again. Dan had us purchase all the "visible" materials which makes sense since he's not an interior designer (and I assume doesn't want to be). It took my wife and I a little work to pick out our stuff but it worked great. Dan arrived exactly on-time every day he worked. On the one day he was 15 minutes late, he called us to let us know he was running behind. He finished the work on schedule and at the price he initially quoted us, no overages or unexpected charges. There were one or two spots in our bathroom that weren't "perfect" but didn't bother us enough to have Dan redo the work. However, if you are very detail oriented, you will want to check in on their work throughout the day, I think Dan would probably be happy to accommodate any reasonable requests."

"He came and checked everything. He was very good about his investigation of damage and preparing the estimate. He was good about matching the old brick color which was not easy to do. I was very impressed how hard he worked and made the match of color in the brick and the brick repair. He came back again and again to make sure that the work he provided was perfect. The insurance agency was even very impressed with the work and the brick match."

"While he could have told me I needed extensive repairs or just made up something to pay him back the time it took him to roam around my roof in the cold he did not. He evaluated the masonry and said it was fine and he could not see any issues. I will tell you one thing if I ever do need masonry work, or any of the services he provides I definitely will call this very honest man to do it."

"I was conflicted on this review, as they were very helpful and sent someone out very quickly. I had never used them and had someone I usually use but they were busy and I didn't have hot water until this was repaired. So I went with Benjamin Franklin. Professionalism was a little lacking. I mentioned on the phone that they would need a ladder, but they didn't have one. So they were hoisting each other up and climbing on the top of my furnace room door in order to get into the attic. It was a very dangerous thing to do, and could have caused injury to themselves or damage to the property. I borrowed a ladder from my neighbor after they did that a couple times. The big issue, though, was price. There were two guys there, one of which was clearly a "helper" grade and not an experienced plumber, and they worked for three hours. The only materials used were a gas shutoff valve, a pipe cap, and a small plastic access panel to cover a hole they cut in the wall. The charge came to $853 which is high for the time and materials involved. It turns out they use a "book rate" which means they charge a flat fee for given actions regardless of the actual time or money involved. As an example, the helper spent 15 minutes installing a $5 access panel and they charged me $150 for that specific item. (And, incidentally, the hole they cut in the wall ended up not being needed.) In the end, they did get it to where I could have the gas turned on. The root problem isn't fixed - I'll still have to get the gas line to my garage repaired. I'm happy with the fact that I have hot water, but I'm not happy with the price. If I had known they charged such high prices, I would have waited two days and had my usual plumber do the work. They're not bad guys, they're just expensive and not the most professional outfit. I wouldn't recommend them unless you absolutely had to have the work done right away."

"Tim and his father did a great job replacing a couple squares of sidewalk at our home that were done improperly by a different contractor. They got me an estimate and fit me in their schedule quickly, all while doing the work the right way at a fair cost. I would definitely ask them to do additional work in the future and recommend them if you need concrete or masonry work as well. They are also licensed in Columbus and insured. Before hiring any vendor to do work at your home, I highly recommend you verify both of those things. I came across a number of other concrete vendors who did not have either or both of those documents and some were less than forthcoming about it."
