"I called and texted John over the weekend, and I was amazed at how quickly he replied during the weekend! I was also amazed that he was able to schedule my inspection that Monday after that weekend! John was very professional and thorough during the inspection. If I were buying in Tallahassee again, I’d hire him again in a heartbeat! HIRE THIS GUY!!!"

"I wanted to write about our experiences with Cedrick Jones and Gold Star Adjusters. Our insurance company was planning to not pay us for major damage we sustained during a wind storm that hit our house around Feb 2020. Even though water came into the house and was inside the wall, they told us that the damages were only worth about $2K or so and that it would be a cheap fix and the amount conveniently was below our deductible threshold. Mr. Jones was able to force the insurance company to pay out more than enough money for us to hire professionals to come out and rebuild most of the interior and some of the exterior wall where the water was coming from. If it wasn't for him, we would have been on the hook for several thousands of dollars worth of repairs. Mr. Jones also took the time to look over our insurance policy to make sure that they hadn't hidden high deductibles on other items on our policy to prevent any future surprises. I wanted to let you know that Mr. Jones handled everything above and beyond the normal level of care and professionalism one would expect from an adjuster. He spent several hours at our home ensuring that any and all damages were fully accounted for and held the insurance company accountable for payment of the damage claims."

"Art construction replaced a metal roof for us last winter and it was a nightmare. The job was supposed to take a week and it took two months. They left part of the roof exposed for two weeks (they said they covered it but didn’t cover all of it) and we had inside damage to our kitchen, bedroom and master bath. The crown molding was separating from the walls, the wood floors were ruined and a mattress was completely soaked. When they finished, we had another leak in a bathroom where a vent wasn’t done properly causing us to have the ceiling repainted. They sprayed Clorox on it, but of course the stain came back so we had to repaint. The subcontractor they hired to install guttering did such a crappy job they had to come back and reinstall it 3 times. It still doesn’t catch any rain water that comes off the roof. They also drove their truck with a ladder on top into our garage and damaged the stucco. I’ve been reluctant to write a bad review because I knew they’d have to come back to fix more leaks, which they did this week. All of our porches leak every time it rains. We also have dark spotted stains on the underside of the metal over the porches and eves which they claim is not their problem. All we can do is hope it doesn’t rust. They’re constantly making excuses as to why none of this is their fault - bad subs, bad timing, bad products etc. Do your self a favor and run from this contractor."

Andy Hardage is licensed Home inspector in the state of Alabama & Florida. Buying a home is probably the most expensive purchase you will ever make. This is no time to shop for a cheap inspection. The cost of a home inspection is very small relative to the home being inspected. We are determined to perform inspections of the upmost quality, with integrity. For a buyer, we make sure that they know & understand every fact about the property that they are purchasing. For sellers, we will provide a report that gives 100% full disclosure, with no worries if a buyer coming back & questioning anything regarding the property.

FAQs for complete home inspection projects in Altha, FL

An electrical inspection usually takes one to two hours. During the inspection, your electrician will follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) to ensure your home is safe and up to legal safety standards. They'll check your electrical system, including wires, appliances, meter box, panel, circuit breakers, and more.

Afterward, you'll receive a detailed checklist of everything they examined, along with a report highlighting any urgent issues—often with photos. They might also offer tips on how to save energy and improve your system's efficiency.

Regular electrical inspections protect your home and family by ensuring that every part of your electrical system operates safely. Scheduling inspections reduces the risk of electrical fires and cuts high insurance premiums by detecting problems early. Inspections defend against hidden system failures and maintain your property’s overall value, making them an essential part of home maintenance.

Full home electrical inspections are essential when buying a new home because every wiring detail must be evaluated. If you are not purchasing a home and have no significant concerns, a basic safety inspection is sufficient. However, for older properties or homes that have not been inspected for a long time, a comprehensive inspection is required to detect hidden issues and ensure complete safety.
