"Ian inspected a large bed-and-breakfast I purchased in Saugatuck and I can?t sing his praises enough. He was incredibly thorough, and his report was so detailed that I still use it as a guide for projects around the house. His work helped me put together a strong offer that worked in my favor, and he made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. He went above and beyond with all of the follow ups I had, even after closing! Thank you, Ian! I?ll be recommending you to everyone I know in Southwest Michigan."

"Totally worthless. Had a complete inspection. Everything that Ryan reported was "satisfactory". Turns out house needs 40k of foundation repair. Avoid at all costs."

"We recently moved to a 95 yr old home. We were told we had a dry basement when in fact we did not. We looked in to basement waterproofing with a couple different companies but the scope of the work and the cost didn’t feel like the right solution. We had Don come out and he was very knowledgeable, professional and very courteous. He recommended some things that the other companies did not. He actually talked us out of mor expensive fixes. He said he believes in starting with the least intrusive, least expensive options first. His solutions worked for us. We would 10/10 recommend Don and his crew at Foundation Doctors LLC."

FAQs for complete home inspection projects in Edwardsburg, MI

An electrical inspection usually takes one to two hours. During the inspection, your electrician will follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) to ensure your home is safe and up to legal safety standards. They'll check your electrical system, including wires, appliances, meter box, panel, circuit breakers, and more.

Afterward, you'll receive a detailed checklist of everything they examined, along with a report highlighting any urgent issues—often with photos. They might also offer tips on how to save energy and improve your system's efficiency.

Regular electrical inspections protect your home and family by ensuring that every part of your electrical system operates safely. Scheduling inspections reduces the risk of electrical fires and cuts high insurance premiums by detecting problems early. Inspections defend against hidden system failures and maintain your property’s overall value, making them an essential part of home maintenance.

Full home electrical inspections are essential when buying a new home because every wiring detail must be evaluated. If you are not purchasing a home and have no significant concerns, a basic safety inspection is sufficient. However, for older properties or homes that have not been inspected for a long time, a comprehensive inspection is required to detect hidden issues and ensure complete safety.
