"Due to Buck's inspection, I realized the repairs that needed to be made were many and not worth purchasing this home. Thank you, Buck as you found things that I didn't notice during the showing!"

"Steve installed a much needed backsplash in our kitchen and even came back later to address some house settling - free of charge. He is meticulous and attentive to other things that need to be done. He also installed two exterior doors and storm doors for us. Great work that saved us money during the recent cold!"

"They did a great job! I got my inspection report with pictures the same day. I was able to call and talk with David and get some additional information on an item I wasn’t quite sure about and he explained in detail. I would definitely use them again on any project requiring their services!"

"Joshua did my inspection today and he was very professional and personable. His expertise was evident in all our conversations. He explained everything to me very honestly and in a way I could understand. He was also very patient, because I know my many questions during the inspection must have interrupted his work. I would trust him to do future inspections and I recommend him without reservations."

"Admittedly I've only been in the house for a month but I've yet to find anything wrong that the inspector did not report. He showed up promptly, appeared professional, clean, and neat, brought coveralls and boots to wear while inspecting crawlspaces, had tools to test the power and appliances, and exhibited in-depth knowledge of home construction and maintenance as well as current building codes. Upon seeing his report, the seller agreed to pay to fix all the major issues (as well as several of the minor ones) prior to my purchase of the home. I mean, the report was clear, specific, and documented (including photos) enough that the seller knew what repairs would be required before the mortgage would be approved. Oh, and I had a physical, bound copy of the report before the inspector left. He took about 3 or four hours and it still seems to have been a thorough, professional job. Yes, it may have been disappointing to have someone point out all these problems in a house I was wanting to buy but I kept telling myself that A) this was what I was paying him to do and B) I'd much rather find out BEFORE I signed all the papers to buy it. Great experience overall. <br />"

FAQs for complete home inspection projects in Knoxville, TN

An electrical inspection usually takes one to two hours. During the inspection, your electrician will follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) to ensure your home is safe and up to legal safety standards. They'll check your electrical system, including wires, appliances, meter box, panel, circuit breakers, and more.

Afterward, you'll receive a detailed checklist of everything they examined, along with a report highlighting any urgent issues—often with photos. They might also offer tips on how to save energy and improve your system's efficiency.

Regular electrical inspections protect your home and family by ensuring that every part of your electrical system operates safely. Scheduling inspections reduces the risk of electrical fires and cuts high insurance premiums by detecting problems early. Inspections defend against hidden system failures and maintain your property’s overall value, making them an essential part of home maintenance.

Full home electrical inspections are essential when buying a new home because every wiring detail must be evaluated. If you are not purchasing a home and have no significant concerns, a basic safety inspection is sufficient. However, for older properties or homes that have not been inspected for a long time, a comprehensive inspection is required to detect hidden issues and ensure complete safety.
