"Josh (JDL Home Inspections) did a home inspection of a condo I was under contract to buy. He rated the Shower as "Satisfactory". I closed on the property. Three days after taking possession, the shower pan broke through. Upon examination of the area, there were irregularities that should have indicated a closer look was needed. I got estimates from several contractors to do the repair. They all said the pan, drain and tile had to be replaced. The lowest bid was $6,000+. All 3 contractors stated that my home inspector should have caught the problem. If JDL had reported the issue, I could have gone back to the seller to renegotiate or cancel my deal since it was within the inspection period. I have approached Josh by various methods including certified letter and via the Better Business Bureau. He ignores everything even though he initially said we could "go the insurance route." I'm out over $6,000 because of this company. "

The inspection will provide my with the information needed to address my property's on going maintenance requirements. Ryan also followed up after my inspection to address any questions about the process or the report he provided to me within 24hrs. I have hired 3 inspectors over the last 2 yrs to inspect properties for me. None was as through nor did they provide me the curtesy of verifying my understanding of my homes maintenance needs. Our experienced team of professionals will visit your job site to determine the best course of action and to help you build a project plan based on your needs. Our project planners will advise you if a total replacement is best or if you can do some less invasive maintenance to extend the life of your roof.
"Shortly after I bought my house, my son-in-law was checking out the roof and he said that in one area, the plywood seemed weak - too much give when walking on it. We had a person from G&G come look at it and he agreed that it didn't seem right. A couple of guys were sent out to inspect it. They removed a few shingles and then put them back and said nothing was wrong with it. They added no new wood or shingles. I received an invoice for $1200. When my daughter called to ask why it was so high when they barely did anything, she was told they would lower the amount and send a new invoice. I never received a new invoice. I was worried about this coming back on me for not paying so I called the number that I found on my estimate. The person that answered the phone said that the guy who had originally looked at the roof was no longer working there. When I explained the whole situation, he said that I should let it go and not worry about it. I told him that I didn't want to have this come back on me later. He said he would go back to the office and see what is up with it and call me back. He never called me back. But I was not letting this go until I was sure it was settled. Instead of returning my call, today a guy from G&G rang my doorbell. He told me that the cost had been lowered to $900. I told him that I didn't agree with that amount, but I would pay it if they could send me an invoice. I had already called their office. All I needed to know was how much I owed. I didn't need a visit from someone repeatedly ringing my doorbell and causing my dog to bark. This should have been a returned phone call. I mentioned that I had trouble understanding the guys that were here removing the shingles because they couldn't speak English. He then called me a racist. I told him that I am not a racist and I have Hispanic people in my family. I merely was saying I couldn't understand these two guys."
