"We are thoroughly satisfied with "A Thorough Guy Home Inspections". No problem making the appointment. The contract is very-well written with detailed explanations of his credentials and scope/limits of work. My husband-the-lawyer was impressed. He's not easily impressed. We were not in a rush and booked one week in advance. He arrived on schedule. He is absolutely as thorough and professional as advertised. He books only one appointment a day, so checks everything. At the end of his inspection he went over his findings with me....perhaps 45 minutes - 1 hour...there was a lot to discuss. We received the emailed full report (80+ pages) with color photos within a couple hours after he left. Really appreciated the color-coding of priorities; categorization by trade skill (electrical, plumbing, roof, etc.), clear and precise writing. Our house is older with a lot of deferred maintenance and we needed a way to get our minds around all the things that need to be done and with some prioritization. "I found Scotland Yard Home Inspections via Angie's LIst and further reviewed his credentials on Yelp. Gerald came on a Saturday (it was easy to set up an appointment via his website) on time and with an assistant and thoroughly inspected the home. While he brought up a lot of issues, he also gave us great advice on what mattered and what didn't which we used to make sure the seller made all the fixes required. When there was an issue that the seller offered credit instead, I followed up w/ a call to Gerald and he told me the possibilities on why a simple fix might not work. Instead of anything sinister from the seller side, it turns out that the part had to be ordered and the seller didn't think he would get the part in time for the close. Anyway, I would glad recommend Gerald to my family and friends."

"The inspector came right on time for appointment, did a thorough inspection of house and garage and crawl space under house, marked areas of concern even beyond termite damage -- found dryrot and plumbing leak that we hadn't found yet. And then found no evidence of termites and didn't charge anything. I had one previous termite inspection with a different company and hadn't really trusted them when they said they found some evidence of termites but wanted to charge me $2,000. As for Morales -- Amazing service - extremely honest, super impressed.  <br />"
