"Crosstown Engineering was great to work with throughout the entire process. Melissa in the office answered all of our questions regarding home inspections and helped us accommodate a scheduling issue with our Realtor. The inspector Jordan was prompt, extremely thorough and patient. He communicated his findings clearly and concisely immediately after his inspection and then provided a detailed written report. We had additional questions which he answered promptly. Great customer service at a very competitive price!"

"First thing I want to say is Jerry Summerlin was very professional, he arrived on time. Before we met he described exactly what was going to take place on the day of the inspection. Therefore I was fully aware of what was going to take place in our meeting. After he did the initial inspection he spent couple of hours going over every bit of the house talking about the good and bad. He also supplied a comprehensive report with pictures that I could submit to the contractor to make repairs and adjustments to the house. This was a brand-new house and I was surprised on all the things I would've missed if I did not have a professional inspector go over the house. I would highly recommend Jerry for old and new construction."

"Did a great job doing a home inspection.  I met him before he completed the inspection.  He walked me through everything and made sure I was made aware of all important issues.  He even pulled out a zip level to see how much the slab might have moved or was offset.  He recommended we get a structural engineer to look at the house prior to our purchase.  We followed his recommendation and we were able to sleep well at night after having 2 confirmation that we didn't need foundation repair.  The inspector also explained what we needed to do in order to prevent foundation damage.
He provided all of the documentation on the same day as the inspection.  He did a thorough inspection and we were told by other buyers/sellers that their inspectors were never so thorough.

FAQs for complete home inspection projects in Ennis, TX

An electrical inspection usually takes one to two hours. During the inspection, your electrician will follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) to ensure your home is safe and up to legal safety standards. They'll check your electrical system, including wires, appliances, meter box, panel, circuit breakers, and more.

Afterward, you'll receive a detailed checklist of everything they examined, along with a report highlighting any urgent issues—often with photos. They might also offer tips on how to save energy and improve your system's efficiency.

Regular electrical inspections protect your home and family by ensuring that every part of your electrical system operates safely. Scheduling inspections reduces the risk of electrical fires and cuts high insurance premiums by detecting problems early. Inspections defend against hidden system failures and maintain your property’s overall value, making them an essential part of home maintenance.

Full home electrical inspections are essential when buying a new home because every wiring detail must be evaluated. If you are not purchasing a home and have no significant concerns, a basic safety inspection is sufficient. However, for older properties or homes that have not been inspected for a long time, a comprehensive inspection is required to detect hidden issues and ensure complete safety.
