"I received my radon results in a timely manner. I did not hire them specifically, (so, I cannot say I would hire them again) the local company contracted them for this service. The home inspector I hired, handled this service for me and included the results in his report."

"The inspector found an issue in my crawlspace that he told me I could easily fix. No charge for the inspection. I would not have thought to do the kind of inspection that he did. Very honest report. You have to respect that kind of integrity."

"Needed a home security system for my daughters home. I saw a SimpliSafe advertisement and was intrigued by the low-cost yet complete security alarm system it offered. I did some research and it seemed like a very good organization. I bought the entire package online. It arrived about a week later in one box. My daughter and I spent a couple of hours setting it up in her home. It was remarkably easy and effective. There were a few questions. We called their support and got the questions addressed very quickly. Overall, this is an extraordinary step forward in home security – easy to install by yourself and amazingly inexpensive!"

"Ernie Haas provided a very thorough examination of our roof which enabled us (after much back and forth with our roofer (DCF Contracting)) to ensure that all necessary and required repairs were made to our roof. Mr. Haas stayed in contact with us for more than a month to ensure that any questions or issues we had were addressed."

"High Tech Home Warranties was very professional and courteous. They went above and beyond when we lost our copy of the invoice, which was important to prove that the work we thought had been done had not. They told us straight about the system. <br />"

"Everytime we work with Amerispec they are great. All of the furnace and air conditioners are looked over with care and are very thoroughly inspected. The inspectors are great to work with, great communication skills, punctual, and knowledgeable. We have used them on a business to business aspects but i am sure anyone that works here would refer them to anyone they know who is purchasing a home."

"Mr.Hill was simply awesome! He was a very professional, prompt, and engaging person to deal with. Took his time covering every square inch of the commercial building we were contemplating purchasing. All while explaining what he was finding in his inspection. This particular building was about a two hour commute each way outside of his normal territory. Was more then glad to still complete the inspection rather then turning us down. That meant a lot to us. We would highly recommend B.Hill Inspections to anyone looking at buying or selling a property."

"Mr Spurgin was consistently professional, inquisitive, and courteous. He was sure to let me know that he wanted this project to reflect what I wanted it to be. At the same time, he was willing to offer suggestions or advice if I seemed hesitant in not knowing what I might want. The work was quick, clean, reasonable and really, I coulldn't be happier with the results. It's one of the pieces in the house that always garners attention for its bold statement and practicality. For my next project, Home Improvement 4 Less gets first dibs!"

FAQs for complete home inspection projects in Gilman, IA

An electrical inspection usually takes one to two hours. During the inspection, your electrician will follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) to ensure your home is safe and up to legal safety standards. They'll check your electrical system, including wires, appliances, meter box, panel, circuit breakers, and more.

Afterward, you'll receive a detailed checklist of everything they examined, along with a report highlighting any urgent issues—often with photos. They might also offer tips on how to save energy and improve your system's efficiency.

Regular electrical inspections protect your home and family by ensuring that every part of your electrical system operates safely. Scheduling inspections reduces the risk of electrical fires and cuts high insurance premiums by detecting problems early. Inspections defend against hidden system failures and maintain your property’s overall value, making them an essential part of home maintenance.

Full home electrical inspections are essential when buying a new home because every wiring detail must be evaluated. If you are not purchasing a home and have no significant concerns, a basic safety inspection is sufficient. However, for older properties or homes that have not been inspected for a long time, a comprehensive inspection is required to detect hidden issues and ensure complete safety.
