"I was amazed of the inspectors knowledge, on all subjects, pertaining to homes, from roofing to concrete, plumbing, wall construction, subfloors, and electrical. Also knowledge with all the codes and when they were implemented, and why they were. He took photo's, used a special optical camera to get to places where it would have been impossible to get to without. Very thorough in every aspect. Above everything else he of was just a pleasure to talk with and ask question and get honest answers. The only reason I know for the most part that his answer were genuine, is that 30 or so years ago, I was a home inspector myself, but just a bit to old to still being able to do it. My wife doesn't like, trust many people, and it's very seldom she's impress with any people other the myself, but she really liked and trusted what this gentlemen Danny was telling us, in a way she could comprehend and totally understand, that alone is a A+++ for me. We would highly recommend this company to anyone. Danny the owner, is the best."

"Called on the Dec. 9 and the tech was heee in 8 hours. Wow what a difference between this home warranty to the last home warranty I had, it would be a week before they got someone out here and that would only happen if I continued to hound them to get someone out here. It put my faith back in home warranty again where was lost. Always had home warranty’s when I own my own homes. Never had a problem when I came from the DFW area to West Virginia . I just thought that West Virginia didn’t have people doing home warranty’s special after I had select home warranty’s it would take sometimes two weeks to get somebody out here and that was because they allowed me to call a technician to come out then you would have tell the technician that they needed to call select home warranty to work out a deal before fixing my problem. They done this to me every time. Nobody works on the weekends so if it happens during the weekend you file your claim but the catch of it is that the 48hrs they told it could get a hold of you doesn’t start until Monday morning and stops at 6 on fridays. Listen if you take my advice of a home owner that’s had a home warranty for 30 yrs stay away from select warranty. I had choice before and they always have done me right. It put my faith back in having repairs done in a timely manner"

"Things did not go well from the very beginning. Their representative by the name of Alan, who did not even provide me with a business card, came out to give me a free inspection.  No sooner than we started discussing the inspection that he stated that I had to commit to a first-time charge of $1,500 before they could do the inspection and/or provide their services; and that there would be an yearly charge of $395.00 per year to maintain my property free of termites.
I told him I just wanted the free inspection and he stated that was not possible without the commitment.
I have never dealt with a company that refused to do a free inspection unless I committed "up front" to their service agreement, and I have had two prior estimates done in the last two weeks, I wanted to get a third estimate before proceeding.. 
I will never consider using this company again.

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
