"I had to back out of the original agreement (est. $2800) because after researching & placing a call directly to the AC subcontractor (Ductz Doctor, also on Angie's List) that DISCREET uses, I determined that the subcontractor DOES NOT perform the tasks either outlined in my original contract or required to remediate the mold in the air handler/ducts in my home. I relayed this information to Mike Gonzalez, Field Manager. I ended up contracting PART of the work to be done by DISCREET ($700) which was performed by Mike, Field Manager, and he did a food job. I hired ANOTHER company (also on Angie's List) ) to thoroughly clean and sanitize the Air Handler, remove and clean its inner parts (coil, blower, etc.), and clean AC ducts & all vents in order to remediate the mold."

"JCM provided top notch service from start to finish. Prior to our pre-drywall inspection, Jay provided a preview of what to expect due to limitations established by our contract with the builder, e.g., not allowed on roof, water and electrical not yet hooked-up. Upon arrival to the site JCM met with the builder, asked questions about the current state of construction. He then met with us and confirmed what the builder would and would not permit. During our 2 hour on-site home inspection, JCM provided a review of and insight to the work in progress - what good, better and best practices looked like it when it came to areas of construction such as: foundation, wall studs, framing, beams, trusses, electrical, plumbing, hvac, stucco and roofing. He always attentstively listened to our questions s and then took the time to answer and confirm we understood. We were never rushed. The final inspection report was delivered within 24 hours, which we shared with and then reviewed with the builder on-site a week later. The report was easy to follow because it contained many photos, location references and notes regarding what areas were acceptable and what areas needed to be addressed. It was a wonderful learning experience that provides long term benefits. We look forward to again hiring JCM for our post home close and warranty inspections. We recommend JCM to anyone who needs a reliable and knowledgeable home inspector."

"I wanted to write about our experiences with Cedrick Jones and Gold Star Adjusters. Our insurance company was planning to not pay us for major damage we sustained during a wind storm that hit our house around Feb 2020. Even though water came into the house and was inside the wall, they told us that the damages were only worth about $2K or so and that it would be a cheap fix and the amount conveniently was below our deductible threshold. Mr. Jones was able to force the insurance company to pay out more than enough money for us to hire professionals to come out and rebuild most of the interior and some of the exterior wall where the water was coming from. If it wasn't for him, we would have been on the hook for several thousands of dollars worth of repairs. Mr. Jones also took the time to look over our insurance policy to make sure that they hadn't hidden high deductibles on other items on our policy to prevent any future surprises. I wanted to let you know that Mr. Jones handled everything above and beyond the normal level of care and professionalism one would expect from an adjuster. He spent several hours at our home ensuring that any and all damages were fully accounted for and held the insurance company accountable for payment of the damage claims."
