"Tom did an excellent job! He was on time and provided me a thorough report with details and pictures. I was unable to attend the inspection in person but had everything I needed. He was able to accommodate my last minute request for an appointment which I appreciated. Definitely would recommend!"

Small jobs welcome

"I hired Dan to do an inspection of my future home. At first, everything on the report seemed to match up to what was observed during the inspection. Unfortunately, there were some major items that were missed. The A/C unit was tested and was advised it ran accordingly. I noticed once I had moved into the house that the unit was not cooling and just blowing air through the ducts that it was not cooled. Had a technician come out and advise me that there is a leak in the system and that the unit and condenser do not even go together. Someone did a hack job on this unit when installing and should have been caught during the inspection. This repair/replacement will be a $4000 hit. Secondly, there was black mold found in the attic above the bathroom due to poor ventilation. Not just a little bit of mold but a considerable amount which could be visibly seen when I entered the attic. I know certain regulations advise that a certain amount is not considered reportable but once I got close up to the mold it had spread throughout that whole area. I have attempted to contact Dan to discuss but to no avail."

"THE ABSOLUTE BEST! EXCEPTIONAL, HONEST, PROFESSIONAL: Can't image that ANYONE else would thoroughly inspect, explain, provide detailed documentation, and be more honest and have more pride in his work than Adam. I feel sorry for people who buy their homes w/o inspections or use an inspector like the ones that I've used in the past. I had no idea that this is how it should be done... The house that I ended up purchasing was inspected by Adam for the SELLER before he put it on the market. I was BLOWN AWAY by the extensive amount of detail, pictures, and the summary + explanation of issues to address immediately, or in the near future, that was in Adam's report. It was clearly evident that Adam had gone through the house with a "fine-toothed comb" and disclosed even minor issues. I've purchased a few homes before, and received a checklist-type report a few pages long, no pics, no recommendations or explanations, once even after an inspector went through an entire 4,000sqft house in only an hour with my husband. Worthless. After I purchased the house, Adam actually went through the entire report with me (since it was done pre-sale for the seller), while going through the house and explaining everything clearly and thoroughly. I cannot stress enough how INCREDIBLY helpful this was, and was obviously above and beyond what he had to do. NO COMPARISON!!"

"I had a gutter that was leaking due to a problem with my roof (not extended far enough over the gutter). I called Tri-Town because I have used them in the past for various projects - they came out and repaired it quickly and for a very reasonable fee. No more leaking - yay!!"

FAQs for complete home inspection projects in Buffalo, NY

An electrical inspection usually takes one to two hours. During the inspection, your electrician will follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) to ensure your home is safe and up to legal safety standards. They'll check your electrical system, including wires, appliances, meter box, panel, circuit breakers, and more.

Afterward, you'll receive a detailed checklist of everything they examined, along with a report highlighting any urgent issues—often with photos. They might also offer tips on how to save energy and improve your system's efficiency.

Regular electrical inspections protect your home and family by ensuring that every part of your electrical system operates safely. Scheduling inspections reduces the risk of electrical fires and cuts high insurance premiums by detecting problems early. Inspections defend against hidden system failures and maintain your property’s overall value, making them an essential part of home maintenance.

Full home electrical inspections are essential when buying a new home because every wiring detail must be evaluated. If you are not purchasing a home and have no significant concerns, a basic safety inspection is sufficient. However, for older properties or homes that have not been inspected for a long time, a comprehensive inspection is required to detect hidden issues and ensure complete safety.
