"The customer service was exceptional. The workers arrived on time and with little disruption to my every day schedule. They were very attentive to my needs and very careful to be clean and neat. They covered everything with plastic and did a great job of clean up afterwards. I would highly recommend this company."

"Project - Air Sealing, Insulation, Duct Sealing, Blown Insulation, Foam Board Insulation. Project outcome: This is quoted from Brian Keech, another Energy Auditor professional with Tom, "the final % reduction in air leakage was 48% (Blower Door Test Before Improvements 3,741 cfm, After 1,933 cfm)" Also, our first winter month bill seemed to be cut in half. We will have to see what comes of the following months. Our upstairs was so cold in the winter, I had to bundle up to go up there. So, we almost never used it. Now, it's the warmest place in the house. Customer Service - Tom is a very passionate, hard working, friendly individual. He seemed to always have our best interests in mind, and was very accommodating to our requests (we had a few). He sat down with us before and after and explained everything thoroughly. The gentlemen that worked with, or by themselves sometimes, were to themselves (which is fine). However, they did leave the gate open multiple times, so the dog escaped once or twice and a couple attempts. Quality - The quality of the project in the end was very good. We had a second 3rd party energy auditor come in and gave the project a good review, except a couple things. He wanted the weather stripping on the knee-wall doors improved, and better sealing/insulation around the addict access panel. Tom seen that these were improved. Also, when the project was finished, Tom saw that the carpets were cleaned with a carpet cleaner, the walls wiped down and any other mess that was made. The blown insulation did make quite a mess which, as mentioned, was cleaned up. However, we did have a fine layer of insulation on some furniture that I didn't notice until I started itching. No problem though, just a quick wipe down was sufficient. There were a couple things that I had thought could have been done better. I mentioned them to Tom, and he agreed and fixed them himself. What I mentioned was the duct work still had some air leaks that were visible, some walls that had insulation installed were poorly cut and not sealed. Again, these were all fixed and I doubt that Tom would have allowed these to be the final product, even if I hadn't mentioned it. Cost - The project seemed to be a fair price. We were getting help in the form of a home energy relief from the government (i think it was). We wanted to maximize the amount we got, and Tom helped us reach this goal. He did go a little more above than we anticipated, but worked with us on removing/changing some aspects of the project that we didn't think were pertinent. Details - Overall: They did a blower test a few times, before and a couple after. They also installed a chimney balloon (which is what prompted a second blower door test after). Addict - Knee-walls fitted with foam board insulation, sealed with expanding foam. Floors, Peaks, Addict crawlspace were seal with expanding foam where possible and blown with insulation. "We are writing to strongly recommend Total Development Concepts, a group that we discovered on Home Advisor. We approached TDC with a general proposal, to recreate a family room in our basement that had fallen into disrepair and to install a bathroom. And we provided a tight deadline, two months. The team took our idea and ran with it. First, they very significantly improved our concept – redoing the walls and ceiling, and carpeting the floor. Second, they took a space that contained washer, dryer, furnace, and hot water heater, and magically added a full bathroom with everything else enclosed behind folding doors and the walls, ceiling, and floor completely redone. Third, they created an attractive hallway between the family room and new bathroom with flooring and additional folding doors to hide the storage shelves. They even repainted the steps going down to the completely reimagined basement space. The team not only provided an inventive design and kept reliably to our deadline, but they showed exemplary workmanship, and were friendly, cooperative. Bottom line: We highly recommend Total Development Concepts, Inc.; indeed, we cannot imagine ever using any other group again."

"They provided an estimate over the phone just using my dimensions and description of the project. I contacted at least four other insulation companies and they gave the best price for closed cell insulation. The one thing that I was disappointed in this project was that they did not spray the side walls in my ceiling cavity. Other companies specifically said they would include this in the job. Steel City said that they would charge extra to do this for us. "
