"Michael is a true professional who is both knowledgeable and more than happy to explain anything to you. What I thought would be a quick inspection, wound up being a three hour education on everything there is to know about a house and recommendations as to do immediately, what can wait and even suggestions that do not involve items that were inspected. "I would highly recommend Nick at 3D Property Inspections to take care of any property inspections you may need. I'm in the process of buying a single family home in Long Valley, NJ & working on a tight schedule to get to closing on this house. Nick at 3D responded same-day to my request for a comprehensive inspection & got me on his schedule for a few days later. I bought my current NJ home 40+ years ago & that was a new build. The very lovely home I fell in love with in Long Valley is an older home & while it appears to be well maintained, I still wanted a thorough inspection. Enter Nick of 3D & his radon, mold & sewer guy, David. The inspection started right on time with explanations being offered throughout. Both Nick & David welcomed my questions & made sure any concerns I had were addressed before wrapping up the inspection. The reports I received were comprehensive & included pictures to illustrate various points noted during the inspection. Naturally, the reports sparked more questions which Nick & David responded to promptly & told me if I thought of more questions to let him know. Even though the inspections & the reports were done, Nick & David never tried to push me away when new questions came up. "Stuart is the best! He’s very professional and friendly from the very beginning. During the consultation call, he clearly specified the scope of his work, listed all the items he does and doesn’t inspect. He arrived early on the inspection day, and started with exterior scans before I got there. After I joined him, he went through all the details I need to know, both findings and general maintenance practices. He produced a detailed report during the weekend, and was always available for any questions. The radon test I requested required him going back in several days to pick up the testing kit. There were several items that he couldn’t inspect during the first time because the seller’s stuff blocked the access. Stuart marked these in his initial report and offered to try again during the radon pick-up. He did these additional inspections after I asked seller to clean up the stuff. And he updated the report with new findings right away. I also want mention that Stuart is providing all these excellent service with a price significantly lower than other providers I consulted with. This is truly remarkable. "Our inspector was incredibly thorough during the inspection. As a first time homebuyer I really appreciated his attention to detail. He talked through his process of what he was looking at, and what he was looking for. This really helped me start to understand all of the things I needed to consider with a home, it was very educational. He also provided several options to address some of the issues - small DIY fixes that would be cheaper, as well as professional options. His report was very detailed in all aspects, and we followed up with speciality inspections at his recommendation. I would highly recommend this company. One negative was just that it took an extra day and a half to get the report sent out. But this inspection was in the early fall of 2020, when the housing market was crazy, and they were very busy."
