"Today I hired Steve Ciesielski from Property Management Consultants. He went above and beyond to try and find the HUD tags on my mobile home. And did I mention it was freezing outside! We had no luck as the house was completely remodeled, but he did not give up. He made several calls to get me the answers I needed. It made me happy to know that there are still people out there that take pride in their work and go above and beyond. I am so grateful for the work he did to get me the answers I needed to proceed. So if you are in need of a good inspector who takes pride in his work call Steve because he is the man for the job! "

"Jon was awesome and went above and beyond to make sure he saw as much as possible with the home we wanted to buy. He was honest and unbiased, not telling us one way or another to purchase. He called the homeowner to set up the radon test at her convenience. He took care of everything and was able to schedule the inspection at a good day and time for us. He was extremely informative and took time to answer all our questions about what he saw. His report was excellent, easy to read with lots of pictures. He also gave us a book of homeowner checklists and how to care for a home. We did not end up buying the house because it had too many issues the homeowner was unwilling to fix, glad we had the inspection!"

"Great . Misty responded to my request for a home inspection for a home I was interested in purchasing. I met with her at the home where she pointed out a few things of concern. Later that night she had a full detailed report with photos available for me online . I thought she was very nice and professional, knowledgeable. I was very satisfied with her service and will recommend her to friends and family in the future . I also observed her consideration to the seller and their property. Total cost including radon test $455."

"The inspection process was a great experience overall. The inspector was thorough, professional, and very easy to talk to. He made sure I was a part of the inspection process all the while addressing any questions or concerns I had. The inspection was very informative and I received the report in a timely manner. I was under a bit of a deadline to get the inspection scheduled on short notice, and they worked with me to ensure I was able to keep my schedule. <br />"

"Before the review, Laura sent the following list of what is included in the the home evaluation process: <br /> <br /> 1) A blower door test – this tests the homes leakiness and identifies areas that should be air sealed. (one reason for energy loss is leaks and the need for air sealing) <br /> 2) I use the InfraRed camera and a smoke stick when the blower door is in operation to identify potential problem areas (areas of leakage are “visible” with the IR camera technology) <br /> 3) Ventilation testing – I test the air flow of your bath and kitchen fans and any other ventilation equipment you might have - and include in my report if your home has adequate ventilation according to the newest indoor air quality guidelines. <br /> 4) Thermal envelope – I check all accessible areas - attic, crawlspaces, foundation, sill box area, and above grade exterior walls for proper and adequate insulation installation. <br /> 5) Combustion safety – I test your furnace and water heater to make sure that they are drafting properly (moving carbon monoxide up and out the chimney) and that they are burning efficiently. I also check your entire gas line system for gas leaks. <br /> 6) I write up a very comprehensive detailed evaluation report of what your opportunities for improvements are and how to go about fixing them – OR which contractors to hire. The report includes all the testing results – including furnace/boiler, water heater performance and safety. It translates what the blower door results showed – i.e. how leaky is my home and where are the leaks. I report on levels of insulation that you have versus what you should have. I cover everything from ventilation/indoor air quality guidelines to acceptable humidity levels in homes. I include digital infrared photos of areas of leakage and how to fix them. I report on the priority of all the different improvements you could possibly do. I prioritize according to return on investment – and comfort. <br /> Every item was done, her report was comprehensive and I was overwhelmed with the excellent job she did -- it was far beyond my expectations. <br />"

"We had an excellent experience with Dave, from beginning to end. I was able to get an appointment scheduled very promptly. The email exchange to finalize the details of scheduling and contracting services was also very prompt, and we were given good information ahead of time on what to expect with a home inspection. As for the actual inspection, we couldn't be happier. Dave was extremely thorough, and he was very patient in answering all of our questions. It was evident to us that he really cares about his work and the people he is helping. And we received the report, with photos, within 24 hours of the inspection! If you are interested in learning about the inner workings of a prospective home and how to best care for it to keep it in good condition for years to come, I highly recommend working with Dave."

"It went really well! Brad encouraged us to be present for the inspection. My husband, Dan, was present and Brad went over everything with him. Dan was able to ask questions and see exactly what Brad was referring to. After the inspection was completed he sent a report with numerous photos pointing out exactly what we wanted us to see. It was a great inspection and we really appreciate the effort and honesty."

"Scoot is very thorough and extremely professional.  He walks you through every inch of the house and shows you all of the home components.  He is not an alarmist, rather a Realist.  I have worked with Scott on many inspections and every time is the same reliable service. <br />"

FAQs for complete home inspection projects in Madison, WI

An electrical inspection usually takes one to two hours. During the inspection, your electrician will follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) to ensure your home is safe and up to legal safety standards. They'll check your electrical system, including wires, appliances, meter box, panel, circuit breakers, and more.

Afterward, you'll receive a detailed checklist of everything they examined, along with a report highlighting any urgent issues—often with photos. They might also offer tips on how to save energy and improve your system's efficiency.

Regular electrical inspections protect your home and family by ensuring that every part of your electrical system operates safely. Scheduling inspections reduces the risk of electrical fires and cuts high insurance premiums by detecting problems early. Inspections defend against hidden system failures and maintain your property’s overall value, making them an essential part of home maintenance.

Full home electrical inspections are essential when buying a new home because every wiring detail must be evaluated. If you are not purchasing a home and have no significant concerns, a basic safety inspection is sufficient. However, for older properties or homes that have not been inspected for a long time, a comprehensive inspection is required to detect hidden issues and ensure complete safety.
