"My wife and I are in the process of buying a home. This is our second home inspection that we've had done. The first was by someone else. Adam was significantly better. And we will use him for all future inspections that we have done. He did a very thorough inspection, from outside to inside top to bottom. He found issues with the house that I would have never noticed (and I'm a fairly detail oriented person). He had me on my hands and knees to make sure I saw everything he saw, and didn't just take his word for it. He even put up with having my two young kids run around the house while he did his work (we couldn't find a sitter on such short notice). He spent about five hours altogether on this inspection. Much longer that I would have expected him to. <br /> I highly recommend him. And I really can't say enough nice things about him. He is funny and makes what could be a quite boring or depressing process into something that is actually fun. Because of his inspection we ended up not purchasing this house, and I didn't walk away sad about it. I walked away glad that I knew what I knew, and that I had learned about more things to look for next time. <br />"

"I have had a lot of experience with home inspectors as I am an active investor. I am new to the Buffalo market so when I needed a home inspection I asked several RE Agents and Specsure & Jerry specifically were mentioned by several. I was with Jerry every step of the way and I was disappointed. Sure, he found things and that part is good but his report was clearly designed to NOT be alarming (no wonder he is recommended by agents - they tend to favor inspectors who don't jeopardize their deals). The problem is if there was something for which you might FAIRLY get some relief from a seller I doubt his report would help you convince the seller of a serious problem. I needed things to be put in proper perspective - the report is an important thing to share with sellers when you are looking for leverage and concessions. Other items I saw that I KNOW are problems he tended to ignore or marginalize. Additionally, he took a LONG time. Too long, over 3 hours. He writes his report during the inspection on a laptop and then uses a small bluetooth connected printer and prints it out right at the venue while you wait. Not the experience I was hoping for; but probably a typical inspection. I am not the average home buyer. I will be buying other properties in Buffalo and I will be looking for other inspectors."

The test included analysis of the water sample for the presence of: coliform bacteria, E. coli, iron, lead, pH, turbidity, and nitrates/nitrites."
