"Mike was on time, very professional, very knowledgeable. This was the second house we felt was worthy of an inspection before we committed to purchase. We had used Mike a few months before and were seriously impressed with how thorough of a job he did. He climbed in every nook and cranny and crawlspace and rooftop. Because we had been burned before with our last house (to the tune of $40K in repairs) I followed him around like a hyper child asking him every single question that came to mind. I figure if I'm going to spend a few hundred thousand dollars, I want to know everything about everything. When I didn't have a question he pointed out important notable things about construction and electrical and maintenance and never got impatient with me. He did mention purchasers didn't usually follow him around. By the second time he came to us, he didn't even wait for my questions, just started educating. Our last one in 2007 was expensive and cost us a fortune because he was almost useless. He thought that because they house we were purchasing was only 6 years old, it didn't need much of an inspection. It felt like we went in virgins and came out 6 months later $40K molested. I wish I could remember his name. He came recommended by our agent. I found Mike here on Angie's List and I recommend him to anyone getting an inspection. "Classic Pest Control and Insulation is fantastic to work with. We dealt with many other companies and contractors as part of a bigger project, and Classic was clearly the best. We called them in after checking out some other companies. They were by far the most knowledgeable and professional and did the best work. We originally hired them to remove and reinstall our attic insulation as part of a bigger project (mold remediation). However, we ended up hiring them to take care of our crawl space and pest control when another well-known company failed to follow up and complete the job properly. They removed, cleaned, reinsulated, and provided pest remediation for both our attic and crawlspace. Everyone I dealt with from the office staff, manager, estimator, installers, and pest control tech was courteous, organized, and very knowledgable. They were also flexible as we had to coordinate around work being done by another contractor. They did a great job on both our attic and crawl space. "We were looking to buy a new house and were worried about the "new house" smell that was in the house. Looked up Angies List and selected Hawk Environmental for the job. When i asked for a quote it sounded a bit more than other providers. But am i glad i went with these guys. Dan answered the phone and was very upfront that while they would love to help, they were slammed and may not be able to do it in the timeframe we needed. When I told him that we are running against a inspection contingency deadline, he was very understanding and managed to get a person in for the test on the weekend and also agreed to expedite the result They were very responsive giving updates at regular intervals, punctuality their appointment and very detailed in their testing. Dan was also very enthusiastic in sharing his knowledge very clearly articulating his observations, interpretations and opinions qualifying them clearly. he was very transparent, honest and has a wealth of knowledge in this area On receiving the report, which he expedited and got done in 1.5 days, I opened the lab results and couldn't interpret any f it. Then I realized that Hawk included a second report which had a simple yet articulate interpretation of the results, their testing mechanism and most importantly what was good, what was neutral and what EXACTLY needs to be fixed. This was so well presented that I could present it to the builder with very clear and crisp actions for them Dan even followed up on phone explaining the results to me and was super glad that we found quite high levels of formaldehyde which we hae asked the builder to fix A home is a super big investment and you want to get the best value for your money especially in terms of Indoor air quailty when you have 2 young kids who spend half the day inside the house which in the US has only recirculated air. I am so happy that I found these guys and would recommend them any day!!!!!"
