"Very responsive agent! Truly LISTENED, responded to my questions and found the perfect product. Was also very honest about what he couldn't help with at this time. Felt like I was dealing with a friend."

"Johnnie did a great job with our inspection and on short notice. Our insurance company folded and we were forced to find insurance within 2 weeks. We found coverage but they requested a wind mitigation report and a 4 point inspection. Johnnie scheduled time for us and got it done, thoroughly with pictures and descriptions. When the report was done he sent the report out to insurance and we were granted some discounts based on the great job he did. Prices were in line with other companies we have used, value was great! So grateful to have him come by and take care of this for us, grateful for every penny saved with insurance these days. Again thanks so much! Professional, thorough and cleans up!"

"Full condo renovation. Work completed includes 3 bedrooms, living/dining area; popcorn ceilings removed, beautiful crown molding installed in all rooms; gorgeous ceiling beams installed in living/dining area; drywall repair where needed; beautiful paint job; new doors, flooring and light fixtures/fan installed. Their name fits … the rooms were transformed. They gave us a unique kitchen design that resolved a space issue in the current configuration and worked closely with us during the design and selection process. The kitchen is in progress and going according to plan. I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Transformers. Nick and Bob are great guys, trustworthy, and truly a pleasure to work with. They do what they say they will do, in the committed timeframe; exactly what you want from a contractor. They have taken great care in protecting our belongings and keeping the place neat and clean. As a result, we were able to be there for a lot of the work. We headed to our home north just before the kitchen demo. Communication is excellent. Nick has been in constant communication with progress reports and pictures. Hurricane Ian inflicted damage on our unit. We heard from Nick the next day with a report on the damage. He’s been in constant communication, providing pictures and videos, and going above and beyond to help us deal with the damage. Dealing with the damage long distance would have been difficult otherwise. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such an outstanding contractor."

"I wanted to write about our experiences with Cedrick Jones and Gold Star Adjusters. Our insurance company was planning to not pay us for major damage we sustained during a wind storm that hit our house around Feb 2020. Even though water came into the house and was inside the wall, they told us that the damages were only worth about $2K or so and that it would be a cheap fix and the amount conveniently was below our deductible threshold. Mr. Jones was able to force the insurance company to pay out more than enough money for us to hire professionals to come out and rebuild most of the interior and some of the exterior wall where the water was coming from. If it wasn't for him, we would have been on the hook for several thousands of dollars worth of repairs. Mr. Jones also took the time to look over our insurance policy to make sure that they hadn't hidden high deductibles on other items on our policy to prevent any future surprises. I wanted to let you know that Mr. Jones handled everything above and beyond the normal level of care and professionalism one would expect from an adjuster. He spent several hours at our home ensuring that any and all damages were fully accounted for and held the insurance company accountable for payment of the damage claims."

"I would not only not recommend Coastal Cooling as an option or as a trustworthy company, I would advise clients to steer far away as their inability to correctly install and dishonesty in our situation should be seen a red flag for anyone. In 2022, we hired Coastal Cooling to install a new AC. It wasn’t working right so after 7 days we asked if they could come back to check on it. They sent out a technician and it took 2.5 hours to correct mistakes after the initial install, which included a leaking main unit and a missing pipe for white vinegar. Then, on Dec 16th of 2024, the thermostat panel in the living room showed black and was not working. We phoned Lennox as we thought the warranty had already expired and were told by them it was still under warranty, so we phoned Coastal Cooling, the company who installed the AC, and they sent someone over to see what the problem was. The technician they sent disconnected the thermostat, opened the AC unit, and to the best of our knowledge checked everything. After 30 minutes he told us the thermostat was broken, but was still under warranty, therefore making the replacement free. To have the Costal Cooling technician there for maybe an hour cost $149. The next day Coastal Cooling called and said they had new thermostat, which we were informed would be free because we were still under warranty, but they were going to charge $225 for the installation cost. As all the wires were still connected, and all that was needed was a new thermostat, which as they said would be free, and their technician would only have to replace the panel and check if it all was working would cost that much, we refused service. We went back and phoned Lennox who agreed it was indeed very expensive, but told us it out of their hands. We ended up purchasing a new Honeywell thermostat panel via Amazon and tried to install it but ended up calling the Honeywell help center twice, who were unfortunately unable to assist. So we reached out to another AC company who came to the house and checked the entire system for us. We were informed by them that the problem was in the AC unit itself, and the thermostat was NOT broken. Thankfully, they were able to fix all the mistakes Coastal Cooling had made and overlooked during their initial and recent visit. This company may come across as reputable, but based on their actions on the phone as well as the multiple installation problems, I would not trust them to accurately do their job and they are not welcome to step foot in my home again. It should also be noted that I did leave a review on their website, which was removed by them the day after it was posted, hence you will see this review in other places, not their site."

FAQs for complete home inspection projects in Punta Gorda, FL

An electrical inspection usually takes one to two hours. During the inspection, your electrician will follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) to ensure your home is safe and up to legal safety standards. They'll check your electrical system, including wires, appliances, meter box, panel, circuit breakers, and more.

Afterward, you'll receive a detailed checklist of everything they examined, along with a report highlighting any urgent issues—often with photos. They might also offer tips on how to save energy and improve your system's efficiency.

Regular electrical inspections protect your home and family by ensuring that every part of your electrical system operates safely. Scheduling inspections reduces the risk of electrical fires and cuts high insurance premiums by detecting problems early. Inspections defend against hidden system failures and maintain your property’s overall value, making them an essential part of home maintenance.

Full home electrical inspections are essential when buying a new home because every wiring detail must be evaluated. If you are not purchasing a home and have no significant concerns, a basic safety inspection is sufficient. However, for older properties or homes that have not been inspected for a long time, a comprehensive inspection is required to detect hidden issues and ensure complete safety.
