What I thought would be a quick inspection, wound up being a three hour education on everything there is to know about a house and recommendations as to do immediately, what can wait and even suggestions that do not involve items that were inspected. I'm in the process of buying a single family home in Long Valley, NJ & working on a tight schedule to get to closing on this house. Nick at 3D responded same-day to my request for a comprehensive inspection & got me on his schedule for a few days later. I bought my current NJ home 40+ years ago & that was a new build. The very lovely home I fell in love with in Long Valley is an older home & while it appears to be well maintained, I still wanted a thorough inspection. Enter Nick of 3D & his radon, mold & sewer guy, David. The inspection started right on time with explanations being offered throughout. "I live in Florida and I am trying to sell my parents house in Denville, NJ. The reason I did not hire Ken to do the home inspection is because he is honest. Ken responded promptly to my home advisor request, was very informative about his services over the phone, and we scheduled an appointment for the home inspection. He met with my sister, at my parents' house, and he explained we did not need an inspection at this time. Even though Ken did not do the home inspection, he still gave my sister some very helpful ideas to improve the house and a list of people he could highly recommend to do the small amount of work that is needed on the house.
