"J May Home Inspections is probably the best in New England. All aspects of the inspection were done in a timely, efficient, knowledgeable, professional manner. Mike first provided a summary of the relevant issues and then quickly followed up with a comprehensive report. The price was fair and the inspection done to the highest standards. He patiently and clearly answered all questions during the walkthrough of the home and property. I would recommend J May Home Inspection and Milke to anyway needing a home inspection in this area."

"I called John on a Thursday night looking for a 9AM, next day inspection of a property on auction that I needed inspected before I put my bid in. He answered my call, texted me, planned everything and was there at 9am ready to work. He gave us his immediate thoughts so that we could make an offer with good info and then sent us a super detailed report. I couldn't recommend him more. He gave us great peace of mind."

"I was looking for a mobile home and used Rocco twice, I hav e experience with home inspectors as my father was one for many years. Rocco was excellent. Knew his stuff, was friendly and professional. Good home report, good explanations of report and pictures. I ended up buying a mobile home 'as is' and knew exactly what I was getting. Thanks Rocco! Sorry my review took so long. "Domenic and team did an amazing job. I honestly have no complaints. While they did not give me the cheapest quote, they certainly were not the highest either. I bought my two family house 13 years ago and the previous owner had roof work done that was less than par. Needless to say, I had many issues with birds and squirrels over the last decade, due to unsecured fascia board around the house. When Domenic and team starting opening up the fascia to redo and secure it, they found a lot of issues with the previous roofers work. The previous roofer never wrapped the fascia completely and they never secured it correctly. It looks like they did the bare minimum. And a home inspection would have never picked it up. Domenic and team were able to redo all the fascia board, install new gutters and down spouts. I will be using them in the future to maintain my roof, along with the annual cleaning out of the gutters. I highly recommend Hennelly & Son Roofing & Gutters to others looking for superior quality of service."

"From start to finish I was very pleased with Tim Womer and the folks at On Top Roofing.  I originally started the process in Nov. of 2014 but due to other projects and the weather I had to wait until the spring of this year.  Tim came himself to give me quotes on price and the scope of the project and to drop off samples.  He was available by phone and through email and was patient with our selection process.  He gave us options and his own opinions on what would be best for our home and did not pressure us in any way.  My friend who is a contractor by trade looked over the quote that Tim gave me and said that it was a very reasonable price (I felt that way as well) for the work being offered.  I had 3 roofing companies come in to look at my roof before I selected Tim and On Top and I couldn't have been more satisfied.  His crew were prompt and courteous.  He himself was onsite daily (multiple time some days) and he and his team cleaned up my home and landscape and had the dumpster out of my yard all within 4 days.  I will be having On Top do my garage in the near future as well without question.

FAQs for home inspection projects in Concord, NH

Most mobile home inspections require two to three hours to complete properly. The timeline varies based on your home's size, age, and overall condition. Inspectors need sufficient time to examine all major systems, document their findings, and compile their observations.

If the inspector discovers concerning issues that warrant deeper investigation, the process may take longer. For the most thorough assessment, try to schedule your inspection during daylight hours when visibility is optimal.

Pay close attention to water damage indicators like ceiling stains, warped flooring, or musty odors. Structural concerns, including uneven floors, sagging rooflines, or doors that won't close properly, suggest potential foundation issues. Electrical problems such as flickering lights, warm outlets, or outdated wiring present serious safety hazards.

Impromptu modifications or repairs performed without proper permits often signal deeper problems. Windows that don't seal properly may indicate structural shifting or water infiltration.

Yes, professional inspectors evaluate the foundation components and anchoring mechanisms during a thorough assessment. They examine support piers, blocks, and tie-downs for proper installation and condition. The inspection includes checking for appropriate ground clearance and adequate ventilation beneath the home.

Proper anchoring is essential for stability during adverse weather conditions. Foundation issues can affect everything from door alignment to plumbing function, making this a critical part of any comprehensive inspection.

Industry professionals recommend scheduling maintenance inspections every two to three years for manufactured homes. Homes in regions with extreme weather conditions may benefit from more frequent evaluations. Consider arranging an inspection after significant storms or if you notice any unusual changes in your home's condition.

Regular assessments help identify minor issues before they develop into major problems. Maintaining documentation of these inspections also provides valuable records for insurance purposes or future sale considerations.

Search for inspectors with certifications from recognized professional organizations in your state. Specialized training or experience with manufactured housing is particularly valuable for these unique structures. Ask potential inspectors about their familiarity with HUD standards for manufactured homes. Professional membership in industry associations often indicates commitment to ongoing education and ethical standards. Request sample reports from prospective inspectors to evaluate their thoroughness and clarity of communication.

Many insurance providers consider inspection results when determining policy rates and coverage terms. A positive report demonstrating well-maintained systems and the absence of hazards may qualify you for better rates. Addressing issues identified during inspection demonstrates proactive maintenance that insurers often reward. Some companies offer specific discounts for homes that meet certain safety and structural standards.

Contact your insurance provider before scheduling an inspection to understand exactly what documentation they require for potential premium reductions.
