"The inspection detail and turnaround time for the report were phenomenal. Our inspector, Chuck, even used a drone to inspect the high elevation areas with really crisp pictures, which I thought was cool. 15/10 would recommend!"

"By far the best service and attention to detail I've experienced with home related services. I first met David (indirectly) being on the sellers side of an inspection report when he was inspecting for the buyers of our home. I told my wife that if I ever bought/sold another house I wanted him to conduct the inspection. David's level of experience coming from a builders background and attention to detail is unparalleled. He's not just checking boxes to get the job done like a lot of home inspectors, he is extremely thorough and detailed in his reports. We have since used David in all of our home-buying and warranty services personally and referred him to a number of family members and friends."

Small jobs welcome

"EHI provided excellent service. They were professional, courteous, prompt, and efficient. I needed a home inspection on a very short timeline, and they were happy to accommodate my needs. The report was thorough and completely documented with photographs, links to the online manuals for the appliances, and all the information I needed. Their report will form the core of the "Honey Do" list for the house, as well as keep us alert to major issues that might be coming up in the future. I would use them again, without reservation."

"The roof of our house was damaged by hurricanes Florence and Michael, in Sept. and Oct 2018, respectively. I called three different roofing companies to inspect our roof and provide estimates for a full roof replacement, even though our roof was only 16 years old. Artisan Quality Roofing gave us the best price (approx. $9,500) and the best job description that would be the least disruptive for our schedules. Artisan provided us with a list of area homes they had recently replaced the roofs on, so we could look at the quality of their work. The representative from Artisan recommended we call our insurance company. On the day the roof inspector from our insurance company arrived, the Artisan rep made himself available to meet with the insurance company's inspector. Thanks to the efforts of the Artisan rep, our insurance company agreed to pay for an entire roof replacement (less our home owner's insurance deductible). On the day of the roof replacement, the crew from Artisan Quality Roofing arrived at 6:30am. They completed the entire roof replacement by were cleaned up by 4:30pm. We could not tell that anyone had been on our roof or on the ground around our house after the job was finished. That's how thoroughly they cleaned up. They used metal detectors and magnets to locate and pick up any loose roofing nails around our house. Other roofing companies in our neighborhood had parked large, rented garbage bins in driveways for the debris from the old roofs; then left those garbage bins in peoples' driveways for days after the work. Artisan did not do this. Artisan used their own a trailer for the debris, then took the trailer away when the job was complete; leaving our driveway and garage accessible. Our new roof looks great, and has been tested several times by heavy rain storms. Artisan Quality Roofing did a very professional and fast (one day) job with high quality materials."

"We hired Triangle Home Exteriors for a full wrap siding work after reading about them and meeting with Beth in person. Beth was patient and helpful and negotiated with us regarding additional projects and detailed the work in a nice presentation and through the invoices. The gem to her business is Brandon her project manager who helped moved items out of the way and made sure the crew stayed on task and even sometimes took to task himself on the project or brought something to attention when something even a small detail did not look correct, which my daughter respected. All house projects can be a little stressful especially smack dab in the middle of the holiday season like ours was, but 3/4 of the job was done before X-mas, and it turned out well especially the siding color and trim. I would recommend Beth and her crew for your siding needs."

FAQs for home inspection projects in Fuquay Varina, NC

Most mobile home inspections require two to three hours to complete properly. The timeline varies based on your home's size, age, and overall condition. Inspectors need sufficient time to examine all major systems, document their findings, and compile their observations.

If the inspector discovers concerning issues that warrant deeper investigation, the process may take longer. For the most thorough assessment, try to schedule your inspection during daylight hours when visibility is optimal.

Pay close attention to water damage indicators like ceiling stains, warped flooring, or musty odors. Structural concerns, including uneven floors, sagging rooflines, or doors that won't close properly, suggest potential foundation issues. Electrical problems such as flickering lights, warm outlets, or outdated wiring present serious safety hazards.

Impromptu modifications or repairs performed without proper permits often signal deeper problems. Windows that don't seal properly may indicate structural shifting or water infiltration.

Yes, professional inspectors evaluate the foundation components and anchoring mechanisms during a thorough assessment. They examine support piers, blocks, and tie-downs for proper installation and condition. The inspection includes checking for appropriate ground clearance and adequate ventilation beneath the home.

Proper anchoring is essential for stability during adverse weather conditions. Foundation issues can affect everything from door alignment to plumbing function, making this a critical part of any comprehensive inspection.

Industry professionals recommend scheduling maintenance inspections every two to three years for manufactured homes. Homes in regions with extreme weather conditions may benefit from more frequent evaluations. Consider arranging an inspection after significant storms or if you notice any unusual changes in your home's condition.

Regular assessments help identify minor issues before they develop into major problems. Maintaining documentation of these inspections also provides valuable records for insurance purposes or future sale considerations.

Search for inspectors with certifications from recognized professional organizations in your state. Specialized training or experience with manufactured housing is particularly valuable for these unique structures. Ask potential inspectors about their familiarity with HUD standards for manufactured homes. Professional membership in industry associations often indicates commitment to ongoing education and ethical standards. Request sample reports from prospective inspectors to evaluate their thoroughness and clarity of communication.

Many insurance providers consider inspection results when determining policy rates and coverage terms. A positive report demonstrating well-maintained systems and the absence of hazards may qualify you for better rates. Addressing issues identified during inspection demonstrates proactive maintenance that insurers often reward. Some companies offer specific discounts for homes that meet certain safety and structural standards.

Contact your insurance provider before scheduling an inspection to understand exactly what documentation they require for potential premium reductions.
