Small jobs welcome

"Brenton was the ultimate professional in his performance of a Pest Inspection for our VA Home Loan Application. He arrived on time, introduced himself, understood our need for a VA approved form to be used and proceeded to complete the most thorough pest inspection I have ever witnessed. I would recommend Brenton to all my fellow veterans and anyone requiring an aggressive and honest pest report. Brenton also provided our report the same day, which really helped get our loan approved on time. Thank you. John R Zimmerman Mechanicsburg, PA"

"Vincent was prompt, reliable, and detailed. After he completed the inspection, he explained the existing and potential issues in the home. His informative feedback made me feel more comfortable in making the decision to buy the home. I will call him again the next time I am in the market to buy a property."

"Someone knocked on the door and asked if we wanted a free inspection of our roof. We were already kicking around getting a new and violaâ ¦Brandon came out, gave us a quote and just as promised, Caleb and the crew showed up Monday and put on a new roof. From the time we met to the finished was one week exact. We are so incredibly happy with the job. My house looks brand new to me. Iâ m beyond happy with the work and the appearance is amazing!"

"After having ongoing leaks since I moved into my house 19 years ago and going through 3 flashings and a brand new roof plus other repairs in between, I wasn't confident that the water seeping into my ceiling around the chimney area could ever be fixed. That was until I called Tony from RMR Roofing. He called me back promptly and came out the same day to look at my roof. He was able to determine that the flashing was poorly installed and recommended a new flashing as well as a chimney cricket since my chimney is over 30 inches wide and sits in the front of the house on the downslope of the roof. Tony and his crew were able to come out within a week and did everything we talked about. He took photos of the work and you could tell it was professional and precise. I waited to write a review to see if in time and many rains it would hold up. It has been about 2 months and I'm happy to report there is no water seeping through....finally!! I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to call again. Thankyou RMR!"

"Amazing team and company to work with! We recently had Resnick Roofing & Contracting install a new roof, soffit & fascia, gutters and downspouts on our house and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. The staff and workers were incredibly professional, kind, hard-working, and knowledgeable. We are so happy with the improvements that were made to our home and love how it all looks. We would very highly recommend this incredible company! Thank you so much!"

"Shout out to Power Home Remodeling. They have made my house not only more attractive, but they have made it safer and so much more energy efficient. I had all my windows replaced, my gutters replaced, and a beautiful back door. I wish I remembered names so I could personally thank these hard-working men for the improvements they made to not only my home but my life. They were efficient and left the place clean. The only evidence left behind was beautiful windows and door. And as strange as it feels to say those gutters look pretty amazing. This company listened to my concerns and worked with me every step of the way. I would recommend them to anyone looking to improve their home. They make you feel like family. Thanks again Power for all the help."

"George and his team did an awesome job removing my old roof and back gutter on my home. They installed a new Owens Corning shingle roof and a one piece custom made 42 foot gutter and new down spout on the rear of my home. All workmanship was top notch and they cleaned up very well. They did my neighbor's roof as well and they are very pleased too. The price was reasonable and they really care that the job is done right. I hired Pindro Roofing to do a roof years ago on a different property and it still looks good with no issues at all."

FAQs for home inspection projects in Penn Hills, PA

Most mobile home inspections require two to three hours to complete properly. The timeline varies based on your home's size, age, and overall condition. Inspectors need sufficient time to examine all major systems, document their findings, and compile their observations.

If the inspector discovers concerning issues that warrant deeper investigation, the process may take longer. For the most thorough assessment, try to schedule your inspection during daylight hours when visibility is optimal.

Pay close attention to water damage indicators like ceiling stains, warped flooring, or musty odors. Structural concerns, including uneven floors, sagging rooflines, or doors that won't close properly, suggest potential foundation issues. Electrical problems such as flickering lights, warm outlets, or outdated wiring present serious safety hazards.

Impromptu modifications or repairs performed without proper permits often signal deeper problems. Windows that don't seal properly may indicate structural shifting or water infiltration.

Yes, professional inspectors evaluate the foundation components and anchoring mechanisms during a thorough assessment. They examine support piers, blocks, and tie-downs for proper installation and condition. The inspection includes checking for appropriate ground clearance and adequate ventilation beneath the home.

Proper anchoring is essential for stability during adverse weather conditions. Foundation issues can affect everything from door alignment to plumbing function, making this a critical part of any comprehensive inspection.

Industry professionals recommend scheduling maintenance inspections every two to three years for manufactured homes. Homes in regions with extreme weather conditions may benefit from more frequent evaluations. Consider arranging an inspection after significant storms or if you notice any unusual changes in your home's condition.

Regular assessments help identify minor issues before they develop into major problems. Maintaining documentation of these inspections also provides valuable records for insurance purposes or future sale considerations.

Search for inspectors with certifications from recognized professional organizations in your state. Specialized training or experience with manufactured housing is particularly valuable for these unique structures. Ask potential inspectors about their familiarity with HUD standards for manufactured homes. Professional membership in industry associations often indicates commitment to ongoing education and ethical standards. Request sample reports from prospective inspectors to evaluate their thoroughness and clarity of communication.

Many insurance providers consider inspection results when determining policy rates and coverage terms. A positive report demonstrating well-maintained systems and the absence of hazards may qualify you for better rates. Addressing issues identified during inspection demonstrates proactive maintenance that insurers often reward. Some companies offer specific discounts for homes that meet certain safety and structural standards.

Contact your insurance provider before scheduling an inspection to understand exactly what documentation they require for potential premium reductions.
