"Our experience with First Rate Roofing Services has been just that, first rate. I cannot convey the pleasure it has been to work with Ethan and his crew. We first called for an ice dam problem and a piece of something falling off the roof. Ethan came over that evening, hopped on the roof and in no time was able to show us photos of his findings and provide us with suggestions on moving forward. In fact, he found an actual hole in our roof and would not leave that night before covering the hole with an extra piece of shingle he had with him. Within 24 hours we had written estimates of several options we could use to deal with problem. We expected to replace our roof this year so we decided to go with that option, but he offered a variation that helped us get through the winter and save up the funding we would need to replace the roof in the spring. We had First Rate do some minor repairs to deal with the ice dam and get us through the winter. The costs were reasonable, and we had no problems this winter. Come spring we decided to proceed with the replacement. We called and scheduled the work to be done starting April 1st. Not only did everything go as planned, down to the last detail, our expectations were met and exceeded on every level. It was obvious from the second the team showed up that these people knew what they were doing and were there to do a quality job. They used top quality materials that were A1 rated for fire. From demolition to installation, everything was so professional, so clean and every detail attended to perfectly. Our roof was replaced in 3 days. The team was wonderful to work with and our installation looks and is perfect. We have a solarium off the back of our home that is 3 floors up. It required some special materials and handling to ensure the transition from the house to the glass is secure, they did an amazing job. After the job was done Ethan came over the next day, got on the roof, took pictures and then walked the perimeter of the property to ensure every detail was intended to as described. There is not so much as a nail left behind. Everything is photo documented and guaranteed. We are extremely happy with the roof and could not recommend anyone better than First Rate Roofing Services. My confidence in the customer/vendor relationship has been renewed. We highly recommend First Rate Roofing Services."

"Tom Galloway is a wonderful person to chat with and very knowledgeable in his trade. Manuel H is his point contact for new work bids and final inspection of work done. Manuel is a very engaging and easy going individual to work with. The crew that did the roof replacement down to new sheeting were very professional and family friendly in their attitude and work ethics. They were on time every day and worked with a steady cadence even after temperatures hit the low 100's the second day into the four day project. They cleaned up after themselves after each day and took care to avoid damaging property and landscaping. They were never a nuisance during the entire project as I worked from home during the entire process. They were polite and understanding when I occasionally stepped outside to see how things were progressing. Overall, I could not be happier with the work they did and quality of job done. "Mr Heldt did a complete and extremely thorough inspection on our 6 year old house. We thought our home being relatively new would have no issues but he went over every inch of the house inside and out and found things that should have been caught when it was built - a broken rafter in the attic, a bathroom vent not connected to the outside and venting into the attic, poor basement drainage in the lowest basement, a support post that wasn’t attached to anything and a water drainage tube that wasn’t buried properly. We are in the process of getting things repaired and feel so much better about the state of our beautiful home now. Before Mr Heldt’s inspection we had no idea we were getting mold in the attic from lack of venting. He also referred us to a roofer to fix three wobbly vents on the roof and also to install heat strips on two roof valleys where ice was building up in bad winters which was starting to result in roof damage."

"We would rely on, trust, and recommend only Palmer Construction for any roofing needs. Of five roofing companies that came to inspect our roof prior to replacement, ONLY Gil Palmer identified the wind damage and assisted with the insurance inspection and reimbursement. The office staff kept us informed and were extremely helpful in coordinating with our insurance company for complete and accurate information. The insurance company had underestimated the size and needs of the roof. Changes, which we asked for, were met fully and with moderate cost. "We didn't plan to have a roof inspection. We wanted a contractor to let us know if our current roof could be treated or cleaned to extend its life. We received a full roof inspection without the treatment. An inspection was probably needed but not planned for. He did a through job but we have not had an inspection before so have no benchmarks to compare his work to."
