It is great to have a responsible company, like HCR, doing the job for you, and employing great people, like Michael Anthony a Vp, our senior consultant and advisor, Michael had been constantly in touch before, during, and after installation. It was Mr. Anthony Vp, a top rated senior advisor and consultant of HCR, who choose to meet with me personally to address my concerns and give me his expert advice on the best practices in the industry. I learned that Homefix Custom Remodeling company has very high ratings from different authorities in the roofing industry, and company's exceptional warranty they have on the job they perform. I agreed to schedule installation by HCR in two weeks from the date (no earlier dates was available), but later in the day I got a call that HCR found the team available to do installation next day! So all process took only three days. Amazing! "We purchased a second home in North Carolina a few years ago. Unfortunately, what we could afford required quite a bit of work. Given that the second home was 6 hours from our primary residence, we knew we needed a contractor that we could trust to perform the numerous improvements this house desperately needed. Not being familiar with any contractors in North Carolina, I started my search with Angie's list. What immediately drew me to American Home Improvement was the fact that the owner, Mike Radan, not only had an A-list rating and many rave reviews, but that he had been in business for 30 years. Before we even purchased the house we wanted estimates for what we likely needed to spend in the immediate future. Our timing was bad in that the area had recently experienced a hurricane. When I called Mike he said he would be happy to provide me estimes but asked if it was ok if he got back to me in a few days because he was busy making post-hurricane repairs for his existing customer base. I respected that he was honest in setting my expectations but also that he was taking care of his loyal customers first. I am now proud to be on that list and Mike has recently helped me with two priority "damsel in distress" moments that as luck would have it, no one else was around to assist. Premiere customer service aside, Mike's craftsmanship and attention to detail are superior. Although we were not onsite to supervise during many of the improvements, Mike sent pictures and emailed or texted updates daily, it really felt as if we were there. Just the other day, when Mike was helping me with an emergency, I apologized as he was leaving for having to call him out after he had already been working that day. He responded with "absolutely no problem, you're family now", and that's exactly how it feels. If Mike is not too busy with the additional influx of work resulting from this glowing review, I have a long list of additional improvements I would like to have done this Summer! I would recommend Mike to anyone.

"Unfortunately I live about 11 hours away from the house that required the work, and was unable to make any of the repairs myself.  I turned to Angie's list to help find a reputable handyman to help out.  Since I couldn't be around to look at the work myself, I wanted someone I could trust.  Hargrove's had a great reputation, and quickly returned my calls.  As Mr Hargrove went through the house, I spoke with him on the phone, and we agreed on what needed done.  Mr Hargrove pointed out several things others hadn't noticed, so I asked him to fix those problems as well.
Mr Hargrove was also very helpful in that he started work immediately, while my check was still in the mail.  I was kept well-informed of the repairs that were being made.  The only thing that got missed was some photos of the work; we talked about getting me some pictures, but I never got any  The work was completed in a timely manner.
Not being able to inspect the repairs myself, I asked the realtor to give me his opinion on the repairs.  He said most of the repairs looked good.  His main reservation was the carpet that was replaced; he stated that it didn't match the carpet that was already in the house very well, and that the whole room should have been replaced, as opposed to a patch.  This is 3rd party information, and in fact I've never met the realtor in person either.
So, regrettably this review is not of great value to someone looking for the specifics of the work done by Hargrove's.  Since I haven't seen the work myself, I can't personally vouch for it being great or mediocre.  However, I can offer specifics on interaction with Hargrove's.  I do trust Hargrove's, the communication was good, and I would use them again if the need arises.
I gave B-ratings for experience, price, and quality only because of the 3rd party review of the work.  I would have liked to give A-ratings, but without being able to see before/after pictures, I felt uncomfortable with that.  I'm certain this situation is not the norm for Hargrove's, where someone is trying to direct their efforts from many miles away.  And admittedly it is not the simplest situation to deal with.
