Steve explained that he would be better served not having an inspection as that may come back to haunt him since he would need to disclose a Home Inspection had been performed. Steve could have done the inspection and collected a fee, but Steve Nagel has INTEGRITY. I love hearing stories like this. It restores my faith in humanity with people like Steve Nagel in the world. "Quick to initially make content and once hired were quite prompt in arriving at the job site. Personable and went right to work. I appreciated that as I do not live in Oregon; my sister occupies the house. It was nice to get something scheduled and completed in a short time. The 2 workers did a nice job of cleaning up afterwards. I would make one suggestion for the crew. It would be helpful for me at least to get an overview of what the project will look like once it gets done. It was a moss removal from my story and a half home. The majority of the work was accomplished using a moss killing spray which is going to take 2-3 months to eradicate moss from the roof. I expected more to have been scraped prior to the addition of the moss spray. A minor miscommunication for which I have at least half of the issue on me. That being said the moss is continuing its decline so the actual end result will be accomplished. Thanks guys."

"We had a small job to remove/replace insulation that may have been soiled in our attic from a squirrel that got up there years ago. It was mentioned in our home inspection. After going up to take a look, Sean explained he didn’t see any soiled insulation but there was a small area that had been moved away from the corner and it was effectively empty. It was really too small a job though to warrant them coming out to blow stuff in so he recommended just taking a leaf blower up there to redistribute it evenly. Brilliant idea! He also graciously took a look at our crawl space and identified some areas we should address but ones we could do on our own. He was great to talk to and very helpful and reasonable. So nice in these days of everyone trying to upsell everything. If and when we need insulation work, we’ll be calling Dr. Energy Saver! Thanks so much, Sean Becker!"

"They did a really excellent job. They were great. A guy at the other company suggested them. I think they have been in business for a little while. They were insured and bonded. I had a couple of bids. They came and they were absolutely astounding. It rained quite a bit here and they worked around the weather. First of all, they have excellent prices. They should up when they could, given the weather. They worked hard. They brought enough people to do the job. They cleaned up meticulously around. They were willing to take on job that was non-standard since it was a 2 layered roof. The roof was old and it was heavy; it had concrete tiles over wood shakes. They hauled it all away and they cleaned it up. They communicated all the time with me. They kept me up-to-date. Given that they had to do repair work and it wasn’t determined how extensive till they tore the roof off. That worked out really well and I didn’t feel like I was gauged. They had to tear off 2 roofs and see how extensive the damage was. The weather might have co-operated with them and I think they were actually done in about 3 or 4 working days. They really want to please the customer. I think they bent over backwards to do more than what they bid on. There is nothing about them that I had any problem with. I will have them come back and do more in the future."

"I had eight estimates to do the job, they were the 7th. Estimates ranges from $60k for aluminum down to $30k for the same job they did for $20k. Felipe always answers his phone so don't know what happened with the bad review someone gave them. Our roof is incredibly steep and very large with dramatic lines, being a one level house. The crew was lovely, I left my doors unlocked so they could use the facilities. Not at their request, but at my insistence. By the way, the big selling point for another bid was they brought their own port-a-potty. For 10K more. Expensive potty! They did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them to anyone. I had a leak where one corner of the gutter wasn't completely calked, they responded immediately. I had reservations, going from shake to shingle, about loosing the architectural aspect of the roof, it turned out beautiful. I'm an analyst (hence the 8 bids) but am so happy to have hired them. In all the contractor experiences we've had in this house, theirs was the best.
