"What a true professional in every way! I have several properties & have been using the same roofing company for 20+ years. My "old" company had dissappointed me on my last 2 jobs and when I saw Jon (J Montes) sign in my neighborhood during several roof replacements I liked what I saw. Workers working, clean job site, and with-in 1 day a beautiful new roof. I actually talked directly to my neighbors who had Jon do their roofs and they couldn't stop talking about what a great job Jon & his hard working crew did. Of course I had to check him out on Angies List as a member and all his reviews read like what my neighbors told me. So, I called Jon and he came out walked my roof and gave me an estimate. No pressure, thanked me for the chance to earn his business and dropped off samples of 3 different roof colors I liked. Picked out the roof color and scheduled an install date and it was such a relief to have gone so smooth. Day of installation on a very large house & garage/shed his workers showed at 7am and for 12 hours straight on one of the hottest days in May completed the entire roof! Not only did they do a great job his workers even on the 12th hour were cleaning every bit of debris at times on their hands & knees with hand brooms then a blower. My yard was actually cleaner after they left then before they came. The debris trailer was even removed by 8pm.
I can promise you that in 30+ years of owning many properties it is VERY hard to find a company that will get a review like this from me!! Just when I thought companies that work hard, do what they say they will do and go above and beyond were no where to be found........Jon has proven 1st hand that there are such companies that still take pride in their craft.

"The sales man Chris Dobbin, HCR scheduling staff and installation crew were very professional. Chris Dobbin espcially did a wonderful job of catering to my homes specific needs and following up during every portion of the process. My installation had two issues, which were rectified immediately. 1) the day of installation there was a mix up between the scheduling staff and installation crew. This mix up resulted in the crew not showing up within the selected time frame and my counter tops were not installed that day. Fortunately they moved fast and was able to get me rescheduled for the next day. 2) once installed the island counter top was 2 inches shorter than expected. I reported this to Chris Dobbin and he is working to get this situation resolved. Other than that the counters are beautiful and I look forward to spending more time in my kitchen."

Will definitely call Jim for any project I need done on my home.  He's got three words on the side of his van; "RELIABLE, QUALITY, WORKMANSHIP."  Definite truth in advertising.  He arrived on time and had the work done when promised.  He not only pulled and replaced the rotted wood trim pieces, but installed drip edging where needed, so the wood won't rot in the future.  (Something the original builders failed to do.)  He also did a fabulous job on our back porch; put up soffit on the sides and ceiling.  Very detailed and professional work.  It looks amazing!  Jim definitely knows his trade and the right products to use for the job.  So refreshing to find someone with old school standards of workmanship and professionalism!

"We purchased a second home in North Carolina a few years ago. Unfortunately, what we could afford required quite a bit of work. Given that the second home was 6 hours from our primary residence, we knew we needed a contractor that we could trust to perform the numerous improvements this house desperately needed. Not being familiar with any contractors in North Carolina, I started my search with Angie's list. What immediately drew me to American Home Improvement was the fact that the owner, Mike Radan, not only had an A-list rating and many rave reviews, but that he had been in business for 30 years. Before we even purchased the house we wanted estimates for what we likely needed to spend in the immediate future. Our timing was bad in that the area had recently experienced a hurricane. When I called Mike he said he would be happy to provide me estimes but asked if it was ok if he got back to me in a few days because he was busy making post-hurricane repairs for his existing customer base. I respected that he was honest in setting my expectations but also that he was taking care of his loyal customers first. I am now proud to be on that list and Mike has recently helped me with two priority "damsel in distress" moments that as luck would have it, no one else was around to assist. Premiere customer service aside, Mike's craftsmanship and attention to detail are superior. Although we were not onsite to supervise during many of the improvements, Mike sent pictures and emailed or texted updates daily, it really felt as if we were there. Just the other day, when Mike was helping me with an emergency, I apologized as he was leaving for having to call him out after he had already been working that day. He responded with "absolutely no problem, you're family now", and that's exactly how it feels. If Mike is not too busy with the additional influx of work resulting from this glowing review, I have a long list of additional improvements I would like to have done this Summer! I would recommend Mike to anyone.
