"High Quality, Excellent, and True Professional are a few words that describes Homefix Custom Remodeling (HCR). I purchased my first home late 2017. During my home inspection, I notice leaks in the ceiling dry wall. The Realtor called his roofing inspection team to inspect the roof. They did not know where the leak source was and thought it was from a satellite dish. The roofing guy also estimated there were 3 years of roofing life left. 4 months later, roof leaks start to occur during heavy rain. I was not happy. I thought the roofer was an expert because this is what they do day in and out. I was wrong with that assumption. June of 2018, Homefix Custom Remodeling knocked on my door and asked if I wanted a free quote for roofing, windows, or any other home repair. I told myself it wouldn't hurt to get a free quote since it will be my first quote. I had the appointment made the same day for the evening. HCR's sales team was running a little late so therefore, the Vice President, Mr. Michael A. showed up around 8pm. He sat down and explained the importance of roofing, the black streaks called Gloeocapsa Magma which we commonly see on most roofing, and different qualities of shingles out there on the market. Many home owners think roof shingles are just roof shingles and that is it. With approximately over 30 years of experience and being a roofer working beside his father, Michael A. knows his stuff and his competitors. He showed quotes from customers who got estimate from others roofing companies. He showed me the flaws in the contracts such as the warranty section. He educated me on the importance of roofing and the components that goes together to make a long lasting roof. Components include the underlayment, which act as a barrier for the roof deck. Lower end underlayment, such as felt paper maybe water resistance where as higher end such as a synthetic type are waterproof and provides superior protection. Approximately 3 hours later of educating me. I decided to get my roof installed. I knew the longer I waited the worst my roofing will get and eventually lead to molding. This was a great decision and investment. My roof would be guaranteed 50 years from HCR's superior no nonsense warranty. Most builders grade roof barely last 15 years and most roofing company offer horrible warranty so be CAREFUL. They may say the roof is under warranty, but how about the labor? Unfortunately, the time my roof was installed was in a rainy month. HCR kept in contact with me to reschedule the installation. My roof was installed in approximately 4 hours. The crew did an excellent job installing the shingles and cleaning up the area. The next day, my gutters were installed also by HCR. They got sheet metal and bended to the length they need. I got the massive 6 inch gutters. This was a game changer for my roofing system. The gutters were installed in the afternoon and 1 hour after installation, it poured down really hard. I watched the gutters and water came down smoothly compared to before where it will just overflow. I compared it to my neighbor’s 4 inch gutters and water was just over flowing out the gutters. "This post is being shared as a mode of recommending. Perfection Roofing and Home Repairs. As a general contractors, they were great coordinator and communicators, even taking great pride in making sure we were apprised of all decisions. We were surprised to learn their estimates were even cheaper than we had expected. The project cost, 22K was 5K less than another reputable competitor.Senior citizens approach projects carefully, especially when new faces are involved. We felt comfortable at all times. "Unfortunately I live about 11 hours away from the house that required the work, and was unable to make any of the repairs myself.  I turned to Angie's list to help find a reputable handyman to help out.  Since I couldn't be around to look at the work myself, I wanted someone I could trust.  Hargrove's had a great reputation, and quickly returned my calls.  As Mr Hargrove went through the house, I spoke with him on the phone, and we agreed on what needed done.  Mr Hargrove pointed out several things others hadn't noticed, so I asked him to fix those problems as well.
Mr Hargrove was also very helpful in that he started work immediately, while my check was still in the mail.  I was kept well-informed of the repairs that were being made.  The only thing that got missed was some photos of the work; we talked about getting me some pictures, but I never got any  The work was completed in a timely manner.
Not being able to inspect the repairs myself, I asked the realtor to give me his opinion on the repairs.  He said most of the repairs looked good.  His main reservation was the carpet that was replaced; he stated that it didn't match the carpet that was already in the house very well, and that the whole room should have been replaced, as opposed to a patch.  This is 3rd party information, and in fact I've never met the realtor in person either.
So, regrettably this review is not of great value to someone looking for the specifics of the work done by Hargrove's.  Since I haven't seen the work myself, I can't personally vouch for it being great or mediocre.  However, I can offer specifics on interaction with Hargrove's.  I do trust Hargrove's, the communication was good, and I would use them again if the need arises.
I gave B-ratings for experience, price, and quality only because of the 3rd party review of the work.  I would have liked to give A-ratings, but without being able to see before/after pictures, I felt uncomfortable with that.  I'm certain this situation is not the norm for Hargrove's, where someone is trying to direct their efforts from many miles away.  And admittedly it is not the simplest situation to deal with.
