Customers say: Super punctual

"J May Home Inspections is probably the best in New England. All aspects of the inspection were done in a timely, efficient, knowledgeable, professional manner. Mike first provided a summary of the relevant issues and then quickly followed up with a comprehensive report. The price was fair and the inspection done to the highest standards. He patiently and clearly answered all questions during the walkthrough of the home and property. I would recommend J May Home Inspection and Milke to anyway needing a home inspection in this area."

"From start to finish I was very impressed with their professionalism. They explained the products being used and provided Consumer Reports ratings on the shingles, gave references, did all the leg work on permitting and got the job done before the agreed timeline. Would definitely recommend for your roofing project."

"I’m very happy with the work Power did. I had four estimates before them and they were the only company who inspected the attic. Very hard workers and very professional company."

If possible I would have provided B&R Home Improvement with an A+.

Bob and Robert Jr provided outstanding customer service, they were friendly, professional, honest and took time to answer all of our questions regarding the roof replacement and what needed to be done.  They educated us on the options for roofing shingles and made some quality recommendations based on the house style and color.  Bob and Robert Jr and team were on site working for two days,  they were efficient, focused on getting all the work done, at the end of each day, they cleaned up thoroughly, they protected our plants and when the job was done left the garden and yard looking as it did prior to their arrival.  Plus they did a quality job on the new roof and it looks terrific.

I would highly recommend B&R Home Improvement for any roof replacement needs.  For our future roofing needs we will contact B&R Home Improvement again!

"Brian is one of the most knowledgeable and professional people I have ever dealt with. He was very thorough when he came out to my home to do the estimate. Brian found serious issues, mold, deteriorating vent gasket which was leaking water on to my kitchen ceiling that 2 previous roofing contractors never mentioned. They showed up on time, his team of workers were excellent and extremely hard working. My roof came out perfect, better than I expected. The mold was removed and the gasket/leak fixed. When the finished the job, the yard was cleaner than when they started. Not a single nail was left behind. I would highly recommend them without a second thought. Very rare in today’s society."

"All roofs were done in a timely and professional manner. Adrian was very easy to work with, explained all work that was required and why it was necessary to do a particular procedure or follow a specific sequence in doing the work. At the home in Marstons Mills we found that the underlay of the previous roof had been done incorrectly. That problem was corrected and assured that the new roof would last significantly longer.
The house in Attleboro required not only the roof to be replaced but also the replacement of an old chimney. The garage roof also needed replacing -  Adrian did an outstanding job on both.
I should also mention that Adrian is a certified Master installer. This is important because of the warranty. If the work is done with the required materials and performed by a Master installer, you are eligible for the premier warranty which covers workmanship and materials should you run into any problems down the line. Part of the process to certify the warranty is that after the work is completed, an inspector is sent to check the work. If he finds anything wrong with either how the work was done or with any of the materials used he (the inspector) gets paid by the shingle company. If he doesn't find anything wrong, the installer gets paid a bonus from the shingle company for doing a great job. Thus, the installer has a very good incentive to do an excellent job.
I enjoyed working with Adrian and would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a new roof.

FAQs for home inspection projects in Rehoboth, MA

Most mobile home inspections require two to three hours to complete properly. The timeline varies based on your home's size, age, and overall condition. Inspectors need sufficient time to examine all major systems, document their findings, and compile their observations.

If the inspector discovers concerning issues that warrant deeper investigation, the process may take longer. For the most thorough assessment, try to schedule your inspection during daylight hours when visibility is optimal.

Pay close attention to water damage indicators like ceiling stains, warped flooring, or musty odors. Structural concerns, including uneven floors, sagging rooflines, or doors that won't close properly, suggest potential foundation issues. Electrical problems such as flickering lights, warm outlets, or outdated wiring present serious safety hazards.

Impromptu modifications or repairs performed without proper permits often signal deeper problems. Windows that don't seal properly may indicate structural shifting or water infiltration.

Yes, professional inspectors evaluate the foundation components and anchoring mechanisms during a thorough assessment. They examine support piers, blocks, and tie-downs for proper installation and condition. The inspection includes checking for appropriate ground clearance and adequate ventilation beneath the home.

Proper anchoring is essential for stability during adverse weather conditions. Foundation issues can affect everything from door alignment to plumbing function, making this a critical part of any comprehensive inspection.

Industry professionals recommend scheduling maintenance inspections every two to three years for manufactured homes. Homes in regions with extreme weather conditions may benefit from more frequent evaluations. Consider arranging an inspection after significant storms or if you notice any unusual changes in your home's condition.

Regular assessments help identify minor issues before they develop into major problems. Maintaining documentation of these inspections also provides valuable records for insurance purposes or future sale considerations.

Search for inspectors with certifications from recognized professional organizations in your state. Specialized training or experience with manufactured housing is particularly valuable for these unique structures. Ask potential inspectors about their familiarity with HUD standards for manufactured homes. Professional membership in industry associations often indicates commitment to ongoing education and ethical standards. Request sample reports from prospective inspectors to evaluate their thoroughness and clarity of communication.

Many insurance providers consider inspection results when determining policy rates and coverage terms. A positive report demonstrating well-maintained systems and the absence of hazards may qualify you for better rates. Addressing issues identified during inspection demonstrates proactive maintenance that insurers often reward. Some companies offer specific discounts for homes that meet certain safety and structural standards.

Contact your insurance provider before scheduling an inspection to understand exactly what documentation they require for potential premium reductions.
