Small jobs welcome
"Chris was extremely knowledgeable in regards to any question that we asked. He was thorough in his inspection taking his time and often double checking. He communicated throughout the entire inspection all the while maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor. He even took the time to sit down and address any question we had in addition to all the question we had already asked. He did not just tell us the answer in instances where he could show us he did so. Chris also provided us with a wonderful handbook. On the next day I called him after reading the report and he took the time to go over each item I did not understand. He made an otherwise nervous and stressful experience much easier. I would definitely hire this company again, as well as recommend to others."

"Chris is an amazing inspector - thorough, friendly, knowledgeable. He even pointed out recommendations for how to maintain items around the house. He also performed a septic inspection and he has top quality tools to perform that too. He was even able to locate the septic access points without any plans. This is the guy you want to inspect the biggest purchase of your life!"

"Three pieces of siding on the side of my dormer came loose. I called Priceless Home Improvements, LLC and had the pleasure of talking to Jon. He came by the house the next day, sent his drove up to inspect my roof (let me look over his shoulder while he was operating the drone) and in three days my siding was fixed. It was quick and most of all a pleasant experience."

"To say it went perfect would be an understatement. We could not be more pleased with the craftmanship, the staff, the materials, and the professional construction we had done from this company. The photos of both bathrooms do not even do it justice because we can't capture the entire room with one photo. We have never had such amazing construction done by any contractor in the 32 years of home ownership, prior to this company. They do it all. Indoor, outdoor, heavy construction, light construction. They had to relocate HVAC ducts, plumbing, electric, and move some walls. They are a one-stop shop!! Prices were extremely reasonable."

"I used to walk around my daughter's neighborhood (down in California) and see dozens of solar-equipped houses with virtually 0 utility costs, thinking one day I'd love to have my own system. When I retired, I had lots of free time so I started thinking about home upgrades. I got quotes from several solar companies but nothing really worked out until one day, I heard about EDGE Energy from my neighbor across the street (EDGE had just installed solar on his house). I decided to look them up. Turns out they had the best deal and were offering high-quality products, so I went ahead and signed a contract with their "awesome" Solar Sales Manager Tony Colella. Working with EDGE Energy was a great, stress-free experience. On installation day, the crews showed up early in the morning and started working right away. One crew installed the panels while the other one was inside taking care of the wiring. They completed the job in no time and were very professional. Everyone I met was really nice, explained everything to me and answered all the questions I had. The inspector signed off on it without any issues, and Jody set me set up with my monitor. The office team was very helpful as well â Jari Beasley in particular, who took care of all the SREC paperwork after the installation for instance. I love my system, and check its production everyday first thing!"

"After waiting months for another roofing company to even start work on a new roof, I reached out to a couple new companies. Brian from JDH was the first to respond in a couple of hours. The other company said they could come out in something like 10 days to estimate. Brian made an appointment that same day to give an estimate. Brian showed up on time, gave an estimate using not only better materials and warranty but was less than the company I had been waiting months on. I jokingly asked Brian if he could have the roof done the next day, his response was, "Let me check with the supplier, and our schedule". I may have lost consciousness for a moment hearing that reply. Shingles and materials showed up the next day, then a crew 24 hours later and they went to work, (On a Saturday at that). Crew was polite and put tarps around the house to catch any debris and protect everything. Brian showed up several times throughout the day to check progress and address any questions. That day the work was finished. Everything was cleaned up like they were never there, other than a new beautiful roof. I have yet to find a single nail in the yard. Brian followed up again a few days later just to ask if I was happy with everything. Thanks to JDH and Brian for a great job. Cant thank you enough."

Most mobile home inspections require two to three hours to complete properly. The timeline varies based on your home's size, age, and overall condition. Inspectors need sufficient time to examine all major systems, document their findings, and compile their observations.
If the inspector discovers concerning issues that warrant deeper investigation, the process may take longer. For the most thorough assessment, try to schedule your inspection during daylight hours when visibility is optimal.
Pay close attention to water damage indicators like ceiling stains, warped flooring, or musty odors. Structural concerns, including uneven floors, sagging rooflines, or doors that won't close properly, suggest potential foundation issues. Electrical problems such as flickering lights, warm outlets, or outdated wiring present serious safety hazards.
Impromptu modifications or repairs performed without proper permits often signal deeper problems. Windows that don't seal properly may indicate structural shifting or water infiltration.
Yes, professional inspectors evaluate the foundation components and anchoring mechanisms during a thorough assessment. They examine support piers, blocks, and tie-downs for proper installation and condition. The inspection includes checking for appropriate ground clearance and adequate ventilation beneath the home.
Proper anchoring is essential for stability during adverse weather conditions. Foundation issues can affect everything from door alignment to plumbing function, making this a critical part of any comprehensive inspection.
Industry professionals recommend scheduling maintenance inspections every two to three years for manufactured homes. Homes in regions with extreme weather conditions may benefit from more frequent evaluations. Consider arranging an inspection after significant storms or if you notice any unusual changes in your home's condition.
Regular assessments help identify minor issues before they develop into major problems. Maintaining documentation of these inspections also provides valuable records for insurance purposes or future sale considerations.
Search for inspectors with certifications from recognized professional organizations in your state. Specialized training or experience with manufactured housing is particularly valuable for these unique structures. Ask potential inspectors about their familiarity with HUD standards for manufactured homes. Professional membership in industry associations often indicates commitment to ongoing education and ethical standards. Request sample reports from prospective inspectors to evaluate their thoroughness and clarity of communication.
Many insurance providers consider inspection results when determining policy rates and coverage terms. A positive report demonstrating well-maintained systems and the absence of hazards may qualify you for better rates. Addressing issues identified during inspection demonstrates proactive maintenance that insurers often reward. Some companies offer specific discounts for homes that meet certain safety and structural standards.
Contact your insurance provider before scheduling an inspection to understand exactly what documentation they require for potential premium reductions.
