"High Quality, Excellent, and True Professional are a few words that describes Homefix Custom Remodeling (HCR). I purchased my first home late 2017. During my home inspection, I notice leaks in the ceiling dry wall. The Realtor called his roofing inspection team to inspect the roof. They did not know where the leak source was and thought it was from a satellite dish. The roofing guy also estimated there were 3 years of roofing life left. 4 months later, roof leaks start to occur during heavy rain. I was not happy. I thought the roofer was an expert because this is what they do day in and out. I was wrong with that assumption. June of 2018, Homefix Custom Remodeling knocked on my door and asked if I wanted a free quote for roofing, windows, or any other home repair. I told myself it wouldn't hurt to get a free quote since it will be my first quote. I had the appointment made the same day for the evening. HCR's sales team was running a little late so therefore, the Vice President, Mr. Michael A. showed up around 8pm. He sat down and explained the importance of roofing, the black streaks called Gloeocapsa Magma which we commonly see on most roofing, and different qualities of shingles out there on the market. Many home owners think roof shingles are just roof shingles and that is it. With approximately over 30 years of experience and being a roofer working beside his father, Michael A. knows his stuff and his competitors. He showed quotes from customers who got estimate from others roofing companies. He showed me the flaws in the contracts such as the warranty section. He educated me on the importance of roofing and the components that goes together to make a long lasting roof. Components include the underlayment, which act as a barrier for the roof deck. Lower end underlayment, such as felt paper maybe water resistance where as higher end such as a synthetic type are waterproof and provides superior protection. You can learn more about the roofing components at: [*** Link removed ***] I showed him the leaks in my ceiling; he took a peek in the attic and showed me the problem areas and signs of it. Approximately 3 hours later of educating me. I decided to get my roof installed. I knew the longer I waited the worst my roofing will get and eventually lead to molding. This was a great decision and investment. My roof would be guaranteed 50 years from HCR's superior no nonsense warranty. Most builders grade roof barely last 15 years and most roofing company offer horrible warranty so be CAREFUL. They may say the roof is under warranty, but how about the labor? Unfortunately, the time my roof was installed was in a rainy month. HCR kept in contact with me to reschedule the installation. My roof was installed in approximately 4 hours. The crew did an excellent job installing the shingles and cleaning up the area. The next day, my gutters were installed also by HCR. They got sheet metal and bended to the length they need. I got the massive 6 inch gutters. This was a game changer for my roofing system. The gutters were installed in the afternoon and 1 hour after installation, it poured down really hard. I watched the gutters and water came down smoothly compared to before where it will just overflow. I compared it to my neighbor’s 4 inch gutters and water was just over flowing out the gutters. If you need a new roof, gutters, or any other home renovations, I highly recommend contacting Michael Anthony at Homefix Custom Remodeling for your first choice to see what they have to offer. You will not be disappointed, it will save you time, energy, and stress. If you find this review helpful and decide to choose HCR as your remodeling choice, contact Michael Anthony at (703) 608-9775. Feel free to let him know about this review by Tony N. Thank you HCR for a job well done!"

"Very good experience. The technician was punctual and very professional. After giving him a description of the issue he did an inspection and found the problem fast. He did not leave until he verified several times everything was working properly. I'm very satisfied with his job and with the promptitude Choice Home Warranty found a technician during this difficult times."

"Our air-conditioner broke down right at the beginning of summer, with two disabled individuals in the home it was not a good situation. I called American home Shield and they had a repair company out the very next morning. Remember, this is during the time of year when most heating and air-conditioning companies are very busy. The inspection was prompt and in no time the service technicians were given permission to start the work. In no time the air-conditioner was up and running, no they didn't replace it, but the Warranty did exactly what it supposed to do take care of a major expense in a prompt and efficient way."

"I contacted Ferguson Home Improvements to come out and help me get my house ready for sale. The owner was fabulous and had a very attention to detail approach to fixing the walls and nail pops in the ceilings. They left the house in pristine condition and everything looked brand new, it made me think twice about wanting to sell the house now that it is in such perfect condition. He also hung some ceiling fans to replace the old ones. When I move into my new home I will have Ferguson Home Improvements back to help me with my new projects what ever they are. They are by far the best home improvement company I have ever dealt with.

Most mobile home inspections require two to three hours to complete properly. The timeline varies based on your home's size, age, and overall condition. Inspectors need sufficient time to examine all major systems, document their findings, and compile their observations.
If the inspector discovers concerning issues that warrant deeper investigation, the process may take longer. For the most thorough assessment, try to schedule your inspection during daylight hours when visibility is optimal.
Pay close attention to water damage indicators like ceiling stains, warped flooring, or musty odors. Structural concerns, including uneven floors, sagging rooflines, or doors that won't close properly, suggest potential foundation issues. Electrical problems such as flickering lights, warm outlets, or outdated wiring present serious safety hazards.
Impromptu modifications or repairs performed without proper permits often signal deeper problems. Windows that don't seal properly may indicate structural shifting or water infiltration.
Yes, professional inspectors evaluate the foundation components and anchoring mechanisms during a thorough assessment. They examine support piers, blocks, and tie-downs for proper installation and condition. The inspection includes checking for appropriate ground clearance and adequate ventilation beneath the home.
Proper anchoring is essential for stability during adverse weather conditions. Foundation issues can affect everything from door alignment to plumbing function, making this a critical part of any comprehensive inspection.
Industry professionals recommend scheduling maintenance inspections every two to three years for manufactured homes. Homes in regions with extreme weather conditions may benefit from more frequent evaluations. Consider arranging an inspection after significant storms or if you notice any unusual changes in your home's condition.
Regular assessments help identify minor issues before they develop into major problems. Maintaining documentation of these inspections also provides valuable records for insurance purposes or future sale considerations.
Search for inspectors with certifications from recognized professional organizations in your state. Specialized training or experience with manufactured housing is particularly valuable for these unique structures. Ask potential inspectors about their familiarity with HUD standards for manufactured homes. Professional membership in industry associations often indicates commitment to ongoing education and ethical standards. Request sample reports from prospective inspectors to evaluate their thoroughness and clarity of communication.
Many insurance providers consider inspection results when determining policy rates and coverage terms. A positive report demonstrating well-maintained systems and the absence of hazards may qualify you for better rates. Addressing issues identified during inspection demonstrates proactive maintenance that insurers often reward. Some companies offer specific discounts for homes that meet certain safety and structural standards.
Contact your insurance provider before scheduling an inspection to understand exactly what documentation they require for potential premium reductions.
