"Chris is incredibly thorough, professional, proactive, and well-informed. We learned so much during the inspection, not only about what was good/bad, but how to maintain and repair things we'd never even thought about. Chris was a joy to work with!"

Small jobs welcome
"Chris was extremely knowledgeable in regards to any question that we asked. He was thorough in his inspection taking his time and often double checking. He communicated throughout the entire inspection all the while maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor. He even took the time to sit down and address any question we had in addition to all the question we had already asked. He did not just tell us the answer in instances where he could show us he did so. Chris also provided us with a wonderful handbook. On the next day I called him after reading the report and he took the time to go over each item I did not understand. He made an otherwise nervous and stressful experience much easier. I would definitely hire this company again, as well as recommend to others."

"The process up to the QA Inspection was excellent. People were friendly and knowledgeable. Austin was excellent at giving honest answers to all our questions. When I asked him one he couldn’t answer he didn’t try to BS his way through, he simply said he didn’t know and then proceeded to make calls until he got an answer. At the Pre-install inspection we were told the install crew would arrive between 8-10. The install crew chief was very surprised to hear that when he arrived at 7. The installation was also excellent. Done and dusted by 4PM. The QA inspection cost you an excellent rating. It was little more than a high pressure sales pitch to replace my aluminum siding with vinyl. I just spent $20K on a new roof and he pressured us to spend another $40K on something that doesn’t need to be replaced. Not cool. I would definitely recommend Power, but with a caveat on the QA inspection."

"I hired this company to replace the shingles on my roof, along with replacing the fascia and soffit. The project manager was Steve Johnston. The project was done within 5 days, even after being hampered by a delayed inspection and weather. The end results was very satisfactory. Mr. Johnston was personable, and very attentive to question, concerns, or problems. He always made himself available, and acted promptly to any request. Between the time the old shingles were removed and the new ones install, we experience three nights of very heavy rain. After the third night I noticed wet spots and staining on my interior ceiling at several locations. Within a couple days of notifying Mr. Johnston 4 workman arrived at my house to address the problem. They worked several hours and did not leave until there was no visible trace left of any leakage on my ceilings. I would recommend this company for their quality of work and care for customer satisfaction."

"My B rating was due to a miscommunication regarding the day the work would take place. I mailed my down payment in and next thing the supplies were delivered so i had to call to confirm the day of installation. Only other thing is I would suggest they sweep area with a magnet. Although they did a good clean up job I did have to pick up a lot of nails and a bush was damaged but should be okay. I did expect some minor damage to flower beds since i have several against the house."

"JDH Remodeling provided an unmatched level of service and quality when replacing my deck. They were available at a moment's notice and the process was so simple and quick that I would recommend no other company to service your deck, roofing, or home remodeling needs. Owners like Jim and company's like JDH provide a level of trust not normally experienced in this industry; a fact that made it easy to choose them as my contractor this time and every time moving forward. Oh...and they gave me the fairest quote out of a dozen other companies. Choose JDH."

"I selected Complete Home Solutions (CHS) to give me a home energy assessment based on the recommendations of two neighbors and the company is an approved PEPCO energy improvement company. PEPCO authorizes rebates for qualified energy home improvement performed by a select list of approved companiesâCHS is on PEPCOâs list. From my first phone call to schedule my initial assessment to project completion everyone was very courteous and professional. During the assessment (2+ hrs), Merv answered all my questions. He took pictures of the crawlspace/attic to show me what work he would be recommending as well as performing a door blow test. What I liked most about the assessment âthere were no sales pressure! I received three recommendations âeach recommendation included what work would be eligible for the PEPCO rebate. Staff was very accommodating in scheduling the work to meet my schedule. Staff called to let me know that the crew would arrive within the hourâwhich they did! The workers did a walk through explaining to me what work they had listed to performâattic insulation, sealing around windows, doors, basement insulation, and etc. A second door blow test was done and results were reviewed with me. All workers were courteous and professional and they did an âexcellentâ clean-up job! Thanks to Linda and others who answered my many questions via phone or emailâas I wanted to take full advantage of PEPCOâs rebate for energy improvements to my home. Staff completed and submitted the necessary rebate paperwork to PEPCO. I recommend Complete Home Solutions to complete your home energy improvement needs."

Most mobile home inspections require two to three hours to complete properly. The timeline varies based on your home's size, age, and overall condition. Inspectors need sufficient time to examine all major systems, document their findings, and compile their observations.
If the inspector discovers concerning issues that warrant deeper investigation, the process may take longer. For the most thorough assessment, try to schedule your inspection during daylight hours when visibility is optimal.
Pay close attention to water damage indicators like ceiling stains, warped flooring, or musty odors. Structural concerns, including uneven floors, sagging rooflines, or doors that won't close properly, suggest potential foundation issues. Electrical problems such as flickering lights, warm outlets, or outdated wiring present serious safety hazards.
Impromptu modifications or repairs performed without proper permits often signal deeper problems. Windows that don't seal properly may indicate structural shifting or water infiltration.
Yes, professional inspectors evaluate the foundation components and anchoring mechanisms during a thorough assessment. They examine support piers, blocks, and tie-downs for proper installation and condition. The inspection includes checking for appropriate ground clearance and adequate ventilation beneath the home.
Proper anchoring is essential for stability during adverse weather conditions. Foundation issues can affect everything from door alignment to plumbing function, making this a critical part of any comprehensive inspection.
Industry professionals recommend scheduling maintenance inspections every two to three years for manufactured homes. Homes in regions with extreme weather conditions may benefit from more frequent evaluations. Consider arranging an inspection after significant storms or if you notice any unusual changes in your home's condition.
Regular assessments help identify minor issues before they develop into major problems. Maintaining documentation of these inspections also provides valuable records for insurance purposes or future sale considerations.
Search for inspectors with certifications from recognized professional organizations in your state. Specialized training or experience with manufactured housing is particularly valuable for these unique structures. Ask potential inspectors about their familiarity with HUD standards for manufactured homes. Professional membership in industry associations often indicates commitment to ongoing education and ethical standards. Request sample reports from prospective inspectors to evaluate their thoroughness and clarity of communication.
Many insurance providers consider inspection results when determining policy rates and coverage terms. A positive report demonstrating well-maintained systems and the absence of hazards may qualify you for better rates. Addressing issues identified during inspection demonstrates proactive maintenance that insurers often reward. Some companies offer specific discounts for homes that meet certain safety and structural standards.
Contact your insurance provider before scheduling an inspection to understand exactly what documentation they require for potential premium reductions.
